People who have these speakers love them. I have the DW6 tower version of these and they are awesome. Ignore the online negative Nancys. All of them saw one negative review from the guy who sells “upgrade kits” … the guy who doesn’t like any stock speakers. Everyone is repeating what the one guy reported as if his opinion is gold. Hint, he doesn’t like your speakers either and has a kit to sell you.
I've seen many others not like Zu speakers. Just because a speaker is made in the country you reside in doesn't mean it'll sound good, even if it has a nice build quality
@ nobody is arguing that because it’s made in the USA it must sound good. The point the reviewer made is that he prefers to spend his money on American made products if possible. Especially if the product is a good value, which the Zu speakers are. I agree with him.
@audioarkitekts I put my reference in my profile if you want to take a look. It's MDF covered with solid oak and the top and bottom are 3" thick. I used industrial adhesive and a 3/8 trowel to adhere the.75 oak. The inside i sprayed with flex seal and used expanding foam on all the corners and rounded it over then glued thick carpet pad inside and braced it well. I used ofc wire silver solder, jantzen caps and 14 gauge inductors that I dipped in paraffin wax. I made it a 3rd order crossover so I could cross at 1400 without distortion. 10" Dayton reference paper cone woofer and a silk dome Dayton reference tweeter. I have built a couple of others that are just as well built and I have most of what I need to build a three way. But I need to find time. I built the best sounding portable Bluetooth speaker. I have to finish my subwoofer before I start my next pair a three way with another 10" but I am going to use a subwoofer passive radiator on the back so I can get low bass and keep the cabinets small. Thanks for reading
I’ll get it started. Thanks for the video. These are interesting speakers. I like the made in the USA aspect. I’ve read conflicting reviews on their sound signature. Glad to hear you liked them. Anything you would change or criticize? Merry Christmas 🎄
I would tone down the midrange, give it a smoother sound. As they are they are loud speakers, so I would place these into more of an active lifestyle setting. They’re very different from anything I’ve heard. That’s why I called them “fun” speakers because they’ll bring a party lol
Great review hey speaking of Wharfdale your Linton review was probably my favourite of all Linton reviews would love to see your thoughts on the new and improved super’s !
I own Vandersteen speakers. I have never seen a good review. These speakers sound fantastic and punch way above their price point. So I don't know what the hell they are listening to.
Two things are true DWX owners generally like/love them which might be confirmation bias or a Klipsch effect DWX speakers measure horribly and getting that relatively massive chunk of metal tweeter/guide out of the way makes a lot of sense to me Ironically DWX unites both Amir and Danny in thinking these are seriously flawed There are other speakers made in the USA but that is a good thing I believe these are best suited to tube amplification from what I have seen
@@audioarkitektssome people can't, for whatever reasons. Some could if they saved up more. Some may actually have full expenses if they decided to have a family and are on low income. Ideally you wouldn't get yourself into a living on the line situation, but it can happen

I call him helmet head
I did see that video, I’m not a fan of that guy, so I didn’t let his opinion affect my evaluation.
I know who you're talking about. He can be a bit annoying.

All my speakers are designed and built in the USA! I build them in my basement.
That’s the way to do it!

You must be extremely rich, or extremely dense because, otherwise, you'd know that people in the U.S. can't afford U.S. made products.
Are you sniffing glue
You can’t afford $1,400?
There's no need to be offensive here!
