Great interview Jello. Let me know if you ever want to interview a VFA-201 guy who was there from start to fini! Would love to be part of the show. R/ Mousse
Unknown Rider is a packed action book from start to finish! Quite frankly, you won't be able to put this one down once you start. It is well written and you can immediately tell that the author knows what he is writing about. You get a good insight into all the characters and there are no loose ends. As a reader, I just want to say! Many, many thanks! Can't wait to read more from this amazing author.
i fish lake oroville weekly and there is never a better day than when you pilots fly the feather river middle fork MTR , gives us goose bumps every time . thanks for keeping us safe
Jell-o, the "one bullet" Grad 1v1 anecdote (or perhaps quip) was from Crunch on the F-14 Tomcast. I took him to mean that the instructors were having fun with the set-ups as well as the actual flying. That would fit with the spirit of one of my own favorite stories: I recall reading or hearing somewhere, maybe an article from a very early Topgun grad, about the instructors bringing pilots into the mass brief to recite spin recovery for P-51s and other aircraft that (probably?) wouldn't actually be flying.
Top Aces is a Canadian company! 🇨🇦🙌🏻 We get them in our neck of the woods periodically for training with their Alpha Jets. Sadly, the F-16s likely won’t be making their way across the border, but it would be neat.
Hey jello, havent been on in a while. Do you think adversaries will go into drone aircraft such as RF-16 and others? Or will you need pilots in cockpits?
With the aircraft USA has access to there is no reason they should be flying against the same aircraft flying against the same aircraft when you have access to all those different types It is a waste of time and money and blood. Also they still should fly against the slower aircraft also because a lot of countries still use those older aircraft So we can not forget that.

Book sold!
Every guest ought to consider a BOOK ON TAPE, because a lot of people don’t have time to sit down and read. Thanks Jell-O.

We discussed that during this episode, although not the QF-16 specifically
@@FighterPilotPodcast oh ok. Sorry about that sir. Have you discussed AI wingman? If not i'd love to know your insight on that
@@marcustiggs5361 not specifically
I don't remember what the project is called anymore but at some point in the 1980's Grumman proposed building our own SU-27s and Mig 29s.
What for? Thanks to computers you can just upload a setting for the FBW controls and have any plane you want.
Not even remotely true.
🙈me and 🙊Maverick are both scared of 🙉MIG28

No, there ARE reasons U.S. forces should fly against the same aircraft, but those reasons are not as compelling as flying against dissimilar aircraft.
I think this guy knows mover
Ok.
