  • Filmmaker Tom Duncan describes the multi-layered appeal of his new feature-length documentary, "Sound Of The Surf" to not only the over-50 crowd who lived the music, but to an international audience of younger viewers who love guitar, surfing and dancing. As Celebrating Act 2™'s Art Kirsch and John Coleman find out, the film includes rare historical footage of the baby boomer generation along with the famous sounds of surf guitar, the original musicians and icons of the era as well as a cultural look at the importance of the 'Surf Music" genre to music, Rock N Roll and millions of teenagers. They also discuss the difficulty of making such a film and the fundraising efforts to finish it by seeking pre-sales and donations on Kickstarter.

The Crossfires/Turtles should be mentioned, and also the Inland Empire should be given some credit.
