I have 2 back in the 90s version of All that Kenan Thompson had his foot in Mac&Cheese, and guess who was guess, staring in that episode George Jefferson from the Jefferson's.
Another incident would be years later on season 2 of Danger Force. Now, put in mind, Dan was already fired from Nickelodeon, or so that's why they wanted us to believe. Michael D Cohen, the creator of Danger Force, needed help for ideas of season 2, so he and Nickelodeon snuck Dan back as an advisor. But as soon as they did, Dan reverted back to his ways. A prime example of that is in this episode from season 2 of Danger Force titled the Bilsky Billions. In the episode, there were several foot sightings and a butt crack alert that had to be censored. Classic Dan, this was his way of saying I am back. I am going to do what I want, and to all of you haters can kiss my you know. Do still think that this man is sorry?

Props to Jennette McCurdy for telling everything she possibly can about Dan Schneider in her autobiographical book. As much as I love Dan's shows, it doesn't justify his terrible behaviour at Nickelodeon

I vehemently refuse to watch anything having to do with Jeanette McCurdy, because she never wanted to be an actress in the first place and seeing her onscreen makes me feel icky on the inside because it's exactly what her sociopath of a mom wanted all along; the fame and fortune of being a narcissistic stage mom. I'm not giving Dan Schneider or Mrs. McCurdy (deceased or otherwise) the satisfaction of watching Jeanette suffer in silence onscreen.

So, to protect themselves from a lawsuit from Peck, they have to use that terminology. Even if it's fact they wouldn't be able to legally unseal records because Drake isn't the only victim. I remember not liking shows like Victorious or Zoey 101 because they made me uncomfortable. At the time, I didn't know why, but now in my 30s, it makes sense. Kids DID pick up that something wasn't right with the shows and what the cast was made to do, we just couldn't put our finger on it because we didn't have the life experience to know why.

  • @ScaerieTale

As kids, we saw these actors, literally kids like us, and we thought they were living the dream. Heck, we probably saw them as part of our young lives, as part of our own identities as young people often do. That's why it cuts so deep when you learn how much they were used and abused, and then thrown away by the supposed adults in the room. Jeanette, Amanda, everyone, I can only hope they're getting some semblance of peace knowing they're not suffering in silence anymore. Hopefully their speaking out will prevent this kind of abuse in the future, or at least promote better guard rails and safeties for child actors.

The thing about Victorious is that, for the most part - it wasn't a show made for young children. It was meant middle & high schoolers. A less sexualized version of a teen show in comparison to Gossip Girl & The Vampire Diaries, etc - where there is no denying that the characters are having sex.
The actors in Victorious were high school aged so they certainly understood some of the jokes. They might have even thought some of them were funny too. Teens make dirty jokes too.
The issues are the suggestive web exclusives, the cherrypicking of the dirty gag lines used at the end of the episodes, the lotion squirting in the counselor's office & probably the sausage scene.
Naturally the big questionable thing across all the Nick shows was the frequent foot scenes.

    • @cv8499

The first episode of Victorious aired right after the Kid's Choice Awards, which I'm sure was watched by 12-year-olds. There's really no reason there should've been sex jokes in it. And the thing about Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries is, those actors were in their 20s playing teenagers. Victoria Justice was only 15 when they started filming. Doesn't matter what kind of jokes teenagers understood or were making among themselves. These kids--minors--were in the work place, being forced by adults to make sex jokes. The first episode of the second season is called "Begging on Your Knees." In context, none of that seems OK.

Get this, I actually got an ad for the documentary halfway through watching this video. But in all seriousness, my heart goes out to all the victims of Dan Schnieder’s actions, as well as everyone else who was impacted by these traumatizing events that were shamefully looked over for so long. I can only hope that you all are able to find peace now that the truth is finally out in the open. Jeanette, Drake, Ariana, everyone, I wish you all nothing but the best.

While I haven't watched _Quiet On The Set_ , there were scenes in _Zoey 101_ that promoted eating disorders. Nicole, Lola, and Zoey were deathly afraid of calories despite being too skinny to give a hoot about calories. It's as if they lived in an alternate universe where morbid obesity means a Body Mass Index of 17 or higher, and TLC has a show called _My 130 Pound Life_ .

Especially Drake Bells, I got very emotional hearing his story Brandi’s mom had an opportunity to step that man before he could do damage to other kids but chose not to get the police involved are you kidding me .. Seeing black kids on a tv show that I truly loved as a kid was such an inspiration, all I saw was the glitz and glamour of being able to be to make kids laugh but they suffering the same stuff we face every day in the real world.

I remember being a kid and thinking the scenes in Victorious where they would mention feet or somebody’s feet would be showing and thinking they were funny.
Now as an adult, I really hate those scenes. Like Ari was 16 when they would’ve started shooting that show and they had so many scenes where she was showing her feet or talking about feet or doing something with her feet. They even had her say the line “Hey have you ever seen a teenage girl stick her toes in her mouth?” And it’s just disgusting. And this happened to all of the female cast members too, like the seen where they spray what looks like c*m on Daniella Monet. And now knowing what Dan is makes it almost impossible to enjoyably watch that show back. There’s also video of Ari saying “I get nervous when you’re around us. You make me uncomfortable,”
