That's way too cute for how angry this bird looks.
??? Amen
They don't look angry. They just look over it.
They look determined and strong willed.
@@lambda653 determined to sound like a squeaky toy.
That's way too cute for how (angry) this (bird) look(s).
It's hard to believe that a bald eagle actually sounds like a little bird. Personally, I think their calls are rather musical.
This applies to most eagles
The thing is you have to remember they are using this to communicate with other birds, not to intimidate them. A lion’s roar sounds intimidating because that’s exactly what it’s meant to do.
Yeah!
Their voice actor is redtailed hawk
It is. I'd say if it had a vocoder over it it would be genuinely stunning
That's the most bad ass tea kettle I've ever seen.
*OH DON’T YOU F-*
Too bad the tea is in the harbor...oh yeah, I went there
This comment and Ryan's reply wins the internet...
That is no tea. Think American. Birds squeal. Tea is not very popular.
Spicy Cat r/whoooooosh
The bald eagle may be the Face of America, but the red-tailed hawk is the Voice of Freedom.
I was expecting the Bald Eagle to sound intimidating like the red-tailed hawk. I wasn’t expecting it to be a seagull sound alike.
@@Tommy-tz7hm Glorified Seagull
@@MrCanDel thanks for the correction.
Or should we say, Sound of Freedom (get it?)
@@Tommy-tz7hm sounds like America in a nutshell
That moment when all of tv lied to you about the bald eagle call...
Yeah the stereotypical screech is actually a red-tailed hawk. Eagles are very cute, they kind of chirp
k
I thought it would sound more like a hawk
+Amtrak121 I think it sounds cute
At least brother bear got it right......
So our national bird is a car alarm...
Scarecrow2004 more like a screaming goat
It's our symbol too fuckboi 😙 #getoverit.
"Natives couldn’t keep Americans out of their land."
So if you rephrase that: "Native Americans couldn't keep Americans out of America"
It has other calls too silly.
Well it makes sense if you've been to Detroit.
Why do people not use this cry? I'd say this is plenty majestic enough for an eagle!
it sounds like a seagull going through puberty
More like hilarious.
*****
I still think some of these calls are perfectly majestic on their own.
*****
Well that sucks.
I think this sounds perfectly warrior-like.
CJCroen1393 ikr
I live in Colorado. I hear this all of the time while I am out hiking and exploring. We have a lot of eagles in Colorado. 😊🦅
You must feel that freedom all over…🇺🇸🦅
🤍💙💜
I live on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge and have been hearing this call more and more often over the last decade or two, and I love it.
One of the reasons the US wanted Louisiana
Lol feeling freedom in a communist state like Colorado. That bird is telling every sensible person to leave that trashcan state before or completely turns into California
Not what most people expected, but still very majestic.
Most people expect red-tailed hawk sound
@@zerlichr426same here lol
His scream look like the scream of a seagull
@@liamjoseph-bonnier7975 All hail the Sea Eagle
as majestic as a seagull lmao.
It's really an entirely different experience when you're out there hearing them call like this to each other. There's a wildlife refuge here and in the Summer you can see nearly a hundred of adults teaching the adolescent eagles how to hunt. Their calls are SO loud, even if you're a ways away. You can hear them communicating with each other wayyy far up in the trees, and something about it, idk, if makes me kind of want to cry. They're such beautiful animals
A ain’t readin allat 😭
@arandomgodbridger3169 It's not even that much, you illiterate ignoramus.
I agree. I wish to see eagles up close. They're incredible! 🦅
So that's where I left my car
LMAO
good one!
Lol nice one
Very good one.

This is only one of the many variants of an eagles call. The most common is a high pitched chatter/cackle. I believe the stereotypical call of an eagle (as portrayed on tv shows and movies) is the call of a red tailed hawk. Thanks for reading this and helping me feel smart :)
Brew Bear Brewer Yea, a lot of people use the red tail hawks cry instead of the bald eagles actual one cause it sounds "better"
Sorry, I don't speak freedom.
Tarik360 I do, my freedom is a little bit rusty but I can tell that he either said, "God bless America," or "Good bless Amanda." I think it's the first one.
Tarik360 I wouldn't brag about that if I were you.
It's not bragging ;_;
It's never too late to learn. (or to reply to old comments ;D)
The shit it
I wonder if eagles are aware of how much we glorify the heck out of them...
no
"Dude, I'm just a bird living my life. Why are you taking pictures of- Hey! Hey! Keep some distance ya orange freak!"
“DAMN BALD MONKEYS WON'T LEAVE ME ALONE”
god bald eagles have the be the grumpiest looking birds ever but that's what makes them awesome.
Vultures are much grumpier looking... and slightly unkempt. Probably their diet of road kill... I always laugh when I see them in wildlife documentaries, and they turn away from the camera, very slowly. "No pictures, please, no pictures..."
S Toy actually they look so unkempt so they can stay clean a head covered in feathers would be a nightmare to clean but yeah vultures id say are a close second on the grumpy birb scale.
I think vultures look apologetic, like, "sorry I look pike a burn victim but oh well'". Eagles look murderous. Thankfully bald eagles pretty much only murder fish to eat and smaller birds who annoy them.
Akaryusan look at the Harpy
Akaryusan some mountain owls look like theyre grumpy and sleep depraved... that's what makes em awesome.
As someone who lives near the coast… this sounds like a sharp cry of a seagull
We have gulls in landlocked states too, the migrate across entire continents.
0:02 **looking all majestic and shit**
0:07 _(inhales deeply)_
"POO-WEE! POO-WEE! POO-WEE!"
Freedom has never sounded so
*reaches **0:06*
Fricking adorable xD
Behold! The majestic squeaky bike wheel!
I honestly like how the Bald Eagle actually sounds. It makes it seem kinda cute :3
?
You're cringeworthy.
؟
My brother just walked by and asked if I could hear a sea gull outside of the house. Then I showed him this.
Was he disappointed?
Same. I've been wondering why there's been a seagull in my neighborhood this past week. I don't live anywhere near the sea.
Yeah!
Sea gull acually is deeper. Eagle one sound like ill sea gull
Not all gulls are seagulls, they can use lakes and rivers too.
So first we got lied to about them being bald....and now this???
Bald is actually an old word for white (hair) not hairless.
@@Zeelian Facts aside dude, this was a joke...I think...
HAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAH
from Bald eagle to eagle to seagle
That's the cutest badass call ever!
Affable Sage Yes cute, but your kidding about badass right? The thing sounds like a seagull giving birth to farming equipment...
FuRy_AlpHa ha u should hear the eagles in the Yukon they sound more free then the ones that are in cages.
I don't think the sound is that badass but the animal it comes from most certainly is. I mean even ignoring their indisputably badass visage these guys will take on some pretty tough animals and come out on top or, barring that, largely unharmed.
@@solomonkaihe That's the funniest thing I've ever read, ha..
Right?!?! How can something sound cute and epic at the same time!!!

Freegasm more likely xD
Their screech sounds better than the "traditional" to me, it evokes a different feeling. The hawk screech many think of sounds more attack like but the eagle sounds more like excitement.
yes
..... All those times I heard a bird call that sounded like that... They were coming from an eagle?!?! :O
Navinut or a dying seagull. Either one
Or a seagull. The sound is quite similiar. (Most likely a seagull)
Ah yes, the lake gull, a truly fascinating creature.
SOUND OF LIBERTY AND DEMOCRACY

if your wondering why bald eagles sound so friendly, it’s cause the red tailed hawk went on strike after the bald eagles insulted them
I never realised how god damn adorable bald eagle screeches were until now.
When someone said they sound like seagulls on steriods I could never hear anything else
that thing looks absolutely furious, but has baby voice.
god has a mean sense of humor.
We have a bald eagle that chills in a tree right outside our front door everyday. They are beautiful birds
*Man..You can feel the nature by just closing your eyes and listening to this. *

We should make our planes sound like this before attacking
......Sound like a seagull on helium?
It's a screaming eagles joke
Yep- make the enemies die laughing so we don’t have to waste our bombs.
Beautiful animal
Bald eagles are just overhyped seagulls
I’m holding back tears this video is so powerful
Those bald eagle calls you heard on TV? Red tailed hawk. Never gets credit for the badassery.
“Wow Patrick I didn’t know you spoke bird”
“No, that’s American spongebob”
That caught me off guard don't know why I was expecting some unrealistic calls tbh
That's no call, that's the call of FREEDOM!! And duty.
I don’t know why but their lil squeaky chirps are sooooooo cute!
"hey guys i am being watched by a camera!"
This is essentially a seagull, but bigger
Eagle: ..............
....... “ok I’ll start now”: “EEEEEP EEEEEEP EEEEEEP EEEEEEP EEEEEP”
I find it majestic because it’s natural
I still can't believe this guy Paid the Red-tailed Hawk for his voice!
I dont blame him, red tailed hawks sound badass
"Freeeedom! Freeeedom! Freeeeeedom!"
That's what it sounds like
My husband has a soft spot for bald eagles.
wgrroseberry In your husband's defence, the ones that are three years and older are very beautiful birds. In the U.S. the Americans see them as a symbol of freedom.
dljprogun Yes, except we pronounce it FREEEEDOM!
Nezdragon Ah, FREEEEDOM!
dljprogun If you're referring to the adults, more like 4 to 5 years old. This guy up above looks like he's in the late part of his maturation to adulthood, probably entering his first year of sexual maturity, by the looks of some dark feathers on the side of his head.
My dad does too. As do I. :)
Such an outstanding bird and a beautiful animal . Will forever be my Spiritual Animal 🦅
It is fascinating that we always hear the call of a red-tailed hawk whenever a bald eagle is shown on TV or in Films. But how did this happen, was the Bald eagle call not marketing-able enough?
By the way, adult white tailed sea eagles in Eurasia (that are close relatives of Baldies) also have a slightly brighter feather colour on their heads and the same "seagull" call.
Not american enough
"Fascinating?"
@@DamarcusChlorine what, they literally inhabited america before settlers did
@@Terraw77Those settlers are the one who made america from savage, barren lands, those "native" americans were immigrants themselves and praticed cannibalism
One big perk of the red-tailed hawk cry is that it's unmistakable. Bald eagles sound close enough to seagulls that most people wouldn't be able to identify it immediately.
eagles in movies and video games: call of a red tailed hawk
eagles irl: squeaky shopping cart wheel
And this is why it is dubbed with the screech of a red tail hawk
Actual call of freedom
How the Bald Eagle sounds like: a literall seagull
How the Red Tailed Hawk sounds like: the pure embodiment of freedom
That Sound... That A Sound of FREEDOM at last....
This sound brings me so many memories and happiness.
I can't believe I saw a real live bald eagle with her offspring yesterday.
I am blown away by how well-made this video is. Was definitely not expecting this to have been made by a small channel. Instant sub.
Bald eagle sounds like a seagull, literally
The sound of a super bowl champion
My man!
As Mel Gibson put it *"FREEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM"*
Nice! Anyone who has ever watched a nest cam with sound knows this call well ;-) Especially if you've watched the nests at night if the cam has IR. This is when many intruders try to visit eagles' nests and get a very rude shock! Not to mention the incredible screes of juveniles when they can't fly yet and are irate that their parents aren't feeding them enough fast enough. Hilarious!
Just an upgraded seagull
I can see the raptor in this eagle dinosaurus are not dead
dkgoon93 birds of prey take the name "raptors" for a reason
dkgoon93 funny fact actually the closest living animal to a trex, those massive scary dinosaurs is a.....
Chicken, yes a chicken... Ikr
If you wanted to scare the kids you could have pulled a gun on them, you know
I mean, birds are literally survived dinosaurs.
You guys should Google the Chickenosaurus.
Translation: *We are the people of the United States of America, a country that establishes justice, values our liberty, and promotes the general welfare of our citizens. We are merely the land of the free; a land of progression, prosperity, and hope.*
Expectation: *dinosaur roar*
Reality: highest pitched bird sound
To be fair, dinosaurs don't roar. They bellow, they growl, they boom, but they don't roar like mammals
sounds like a high pitched goose
How they look: 😈
How they sound: 👶
i hear the cry of freedom in my ears...
People say I t sounds like a car alarm...
It has other calls it even has the CAWWWWW one to but sounds different
Bird: will tear you shreds
Call: *sqeamk*
Looks like it want to "kick some a' , then you hear that call....
*the sound of pure freedom.*
Everyone's saying their call doesn't match their body, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. That's almost kind of terrifying for their prey. Hear what sounds like a tiny bird then, a shadow of MURICA
I think this sounds MORE badass than the hawk call movies use
that angry face XD
Neon_Wolf_312 Looks more bold than angry.
No you guys, It's fierce.
I thing thats how the German national bird looks at poland
This is better than in the movies.
I keep hearing this sound outside. I live in Virginia and have only seen a bald eagle once. It must be staying close my because I've heard it off and on for a few weeks now. Pretty amazing to have one hanging around.
Look for partially-stripped trees and bluffs where it goes from lush to “kinda arid lookin.’”
Favorite thing about bald eagles is how it can be hard to tell if they seek a kind of place, or if that kind of place seeks them.
The one you hear on tv is a redtailed hawk
Wasn't it Teddy Roosevelt that said "Walk softly and carry a big stick"
@Hayden Foulds Duh
Say what you want but I think the call is still pretty and the bird is still just as amazing.
R.I.P. headphone users...
My ears are bleeding red, white, and blue!
+Brett Walters hahaha, that's a good one!!! 'Murica!!!
Canadians can't handle our freedom.

Emus, ostriches, cassowaries, rheas, and magpies seem fiercer to me
Yep, our National Bird, is so Awe😊some ! ! Thanks so much for sharing this w/us Tristen Findley.
The sound of freedom.
I'm just imagining hearing this at the edge of a gently flowing river near a forest on a foggy morning.
Tht was a red-tailed hawk noise they use for almost every bird of prey in the movies......
At least the Eagle from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron had the accurate vocal instead of the stereotypical screech it uses from a red-tailed hawk
GOD, BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸
O say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave
