    Awesome! FYI the anubias doesn't have to be planted onto wood, it can go directly in the substrate. I have wonderful results, just remember to keep the rhyzome above the sand. Cheers Father Fish 👍

    • @DashDrones
      @DashDrones 2 месяца назад +1

      @@exoticwaterit depends on how long the roots are I guess. I just bury them in the sand making sure not to cover the rhyzome and then enjoy. Maybe the plant is too big, I tend to use the smaller nana varieties..?

    Father fish ! I found your channel AFTER I set up my 10 gallon aquarium, I love this hobby so much that I bought a 30 gallon and another 10 gallon that I’m going to set up as natural aquariums, I was wondering, is it too late to try and transition this ten gallon tank into a natural aquarium without completely draining and emptying the tank? (I will if there is no other option) or can I get away with simply adding some muck from the lake into my tank, I’m trying to get from the sterile approach, also is a sponge filter recommended for natural aquariums as apposed to the conventional hang on filter with replaceable filter media? Just wanna make sure I do things right so I figured I’d ask the man himself ! I

    Hi Father fish , newbie here . My daughter just turned 9yrs has been nagging for months to have fish so we got some for her birthday. its a gravel tank with a few plants and moss balls. One of your video's popped on my Y.T feed so i watched it and am very interested in your natural method. We've just got some Aqua soil and i've ordered sand. Its a 67 litre cold water tank , i have 5 platys with the hope's of getting some Danos. My concern is ( i've read soil makes the water acidic) that by adding the soil it'll affect the water's ph making the water acidic and the platys like alkaline . We live Swansea South Wales Uk and our water is soft. I'm very fond of the fish and really want to do what's best for them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yeah I had to go in my tank 2day and trim some of my plants I replanted most the trimming but I'm literally running out of substrate to plant any more 😆. I wish I could show you a video of my tank. My kribensis spawned again there free swimming with the parents they are doing a great job keeping all the other fish away. Can't wait till 2morra live stream Sunday at 6 bye for know

    Hi father fish, I have a question regarding tap water. Will chemical dechlorinators negatively impact the bacterial ecosystems in my tank? I just moved from a location with well water to a location with city water. I can probably purchase RO water if that's better but would that be devoid of nutrients for plants?

    Please wash any sand you put into your tanks. My son works for Home Depot and manages the deliveries and stocking. The sand may be washed before its bagged, but the bags treatment afterwards would make you cringe. All sorts of things are spilled on the pallets of sand etc. They are stored outside, and at some locations they have major homeless issues and you don't wanna know what they do to those pallets 🤮 **I don't know where the sand was purchased, just giving an example of bag treatment 😊

    Father Fish - maybe just let a bag of purigen go for a couple of weeks in both tanks to remove some of the tannins
