Great video,I like the way you think, the way you approach and appreciate the experience. I have a most wonderful old Yixing,I took it to London recently,to be assessed by a very knowledgeable man. He was visibly impressed! It dates from the late 1970’s,1980 at most, and the patina made him smile! I typically use it daily, for Puerh, but I must admit,an oolong or two has passed through its spout!
Is it possible for teaware to make one feel unsettled or anxious? I have some de hua porcelain from Verdant Tea that seems to give me a reaction like that to any tea. When I use a Trendglas borosilicate teapot that we use for rooibos etc I don't really get the same thing. I have wondered if it is psychological for me, because the company goes through great lengths to make sure that the glazes used and everything are as natural as they should be. I'm trying a more expensive jingdezhen gaiwan as soon as it comes in. I've been doing gong fu all 2019, and I don't know if it's because I'm learning or making it too complicated but I feel my nerves react to it. I have drank tea my whole life western style............ Any advice or direction you can give?
Sorry you felt that way. Finding the right balance of length is often difficult. What aspects of this topic did you want to be expounded upon in more detail?
I realy appreciate everything that comes from your place but u put your own standards realy high and so I just thought this take is different. It's more the atmosphere of the video. Maybe u shot & edited it a little 'inbetween'. Or WuDe is already a bit on the way to Europe. Thank you for all teachings. In this case it's maybe a bit compressed. Which is alright since there are a lot of words spoken about the YiXing - but I'd realy like to know much more about the whole 'making a fire indoors' thing.. So the stove-topic would be fantastic to learn more about. Maybe I've to build one myself cause there are none of these around here.
I see. This video was meant to be just about the 4 treasures, not any tips for using them. In the future, when we send out teas that are conducive to gongfu brewing we will add more tips. We can keep in mind to make one about charcoal, including a section on indoor use!
I would think understanding of tools and their history is important for why and how to use them. Gong fu cha is about the subtleties of the process and the interaction of materials.

what a great resource.
Hi! Thank you for the video. I have just one question, what do you think about using a Jian Shui Teapot instea of Yixing?
Surprised tea boat is a necessity... what does it do? That versus a cha pan/tea tray such as the Mei Leaf Gong Fu Guru/code
I think a tea boat is only necessary if you are doing gan pao/dry gongfu. I personally prefer it than a tea tray.

Amazing video! I have a question, is there any reliable online stores that you would recommend to get a decent Yixing clay pot?
www.globalteahut.org/teapots.html
Global Tea Hut really wanna get one
Dang this makes my setup look unusable
- oh that felt a bit rushed.
