No that is not possible, you need to bring that out on the NMEA2000. The radios wi-fi is specifically designed for the smartphone control.

Do you need software & lead to program land based MMSI, or can you enter it in yourself like you can a vessel MMSI, i know some models you have to have software for?

As long as you are adhering to local/national regulations, this is dealer programmable (via software/lead)

@@Icom_UK I now have the radio installed in My Limited Coast Station & the MMSI put in with Dealer Software 🙂 Is there a way of using the app on the phone when not home connected to the wifi that the radio is?

@@Colin_In_VK There isn't I am afraid. The app only works locally to the radios Wi-Fi.

Seems like a useless function...unless the user interface in the app is more simple for adjusting settings of the radio?? Once done I'd probably turn off WLAN...no reason for it at that point. Hailing the radio onboard from a phone might be useful on a large superyacht...but then wifi may not have enough range anyway.

The WLAN has a good range (at least as far as the max range of a command mic) and can be a simple/cheap alternative to adding a 2nd station command mic . As an example, it allows you to operate the radio from the helm if the radio is fitted at the chart table, it gives you basic control of the radio, changing channel, transmitting, scanning and intercom back to the radio. It's a great feature that the radio offers, but if not required, it does not have to be used.

Does the radio come with a flush mount kit or should that be ordered separately?
