Every year, I look forward to this video. It gets my hyped up for the upcoming season. Right now I feel a little down but these videos always bring me back to my happy place. Thanks for that.
I am glad you find this video uplifting as I' find the same in your comments. Let's hope it does the same to many others. Thank for your nice comments. :)
Thank you so very much for posting these glorious videos. I can no longer walk do to spinal injury. But these videos bring me happiness, remembering when.... Don't take for granted your abilities. They can be taken away with the *snap* of the fingers.
Fun to watch but in my skiing I prefer sequential edge change and a subtle weight transfer. Too much up and over in some skier patterns; same with the abrupt (not smooth) edge change. Clean tracks and good skiing, but I prefer a cleaner transition with more extension/retraction while keeping the hips lower to the surface as the legs absorb the new outside turning ski gradually edging aggressively and in conjunction with the new inside ski and 'little toe side' and active steering (not pivoting). That's just me.
I have no idea...but he must be an ex-racer. Not saying he's a world cup racer, but someone with a lot of training and experience. The way he shifts his weight, arcs the turn around the vertical of his upper body, and how planted he's sitting on dead center of the skis, tells me he has some deep technical and physical background. And usually, that comes with racing or training with teams. that was pretty amazing...specially at those speeds. It's easy to miss the mark on the skis when shifting from side to side that fast
girl in blue has a slight A framed drives a little with outside shoulder, girl in white red skis come off ground in-between turns so she's not always putting pressure on the snows a tiny bit backseat, guy in hello blue skis not doing same thing and outer ski is lagging behind slightly, he doesn't hap the rebound so is moving at a slower rate, guy in orange skis move a t different time inside ski coming off ground could be tidier but nice skiing, guy are red aggressive good dynamic always moving inside ski lifts slightly this is because he's carving and wants his inside knee up for more edge but if you can do that and keep on ground you have mrs grip and looks better.guy in yellow blue, nice.. playful bouncing rebound in control fun flowing.
Most skiers presented are not on their soon to be downhill early enough in the turn. Their principal turning is done at the end of the turn where the forces to create a skid are the highest. This is why the average skier has snow moving perpendicular to the skis rather than the movement of snow moving in the direction of the skis. None of these skiers are blocking their upper body for short radius turns. Instead, their upper body follows the skis like what is done in a medium radius turn. What I hate about railroad track skiing is the contrived positions. Skiing should be dynamic rather static. The skiers presented were good skiers but not excellent skiers. Ski companies also don't help. I have seen many skiers get full rockers rather than mild cambered skis for piste skiing. Note companies like Volkl have gotten rid of their full rockered skis and are now having cambered skis will just a little rocker on tips and tails. This is a good compromise as full cambered race skis are too difficult for mixed and chopped snow and hence most skiers.
This video is epic, I could watch the skier in the green leg blue jacket shred around those moggly sections for ages. Awsome short radius carving.

Simply fantastic. Can't wait for the ski season to start.

I was daydreaming of carving turns today at work... then this pops up on RUclips... and now I can’t wait for the season to start
Love how you selected the order of each clip. It's like you have the view warming up from the start and intensity at the end. Well done!
Where is the intensity at the end? Looks pretty mellow
wyzman88, All of your "Ski Carving vidéos" are Really good skiing and really inspiring ! Thanks
Wouaaaahhhh!!! Je t'ai reconnu Morgan Petitniot... Toujours aussi impeccable ton style, j'adore! ;)
Holy Mother of God, who's the guy in the yellow pants and blue jacket? That guy is ten notches above everyone else, and they're all amazing...

JF Beaulieu
All 5 fundamentals are absolutely perfect in this video!
2:45 gotta love some aggressive carving
The mogul run at 3:46 is so good. I could hardly find any snowboard channel presents a similar ride.
That's not a mogul run, bud

If you like robotics or technology, you gonna be even more pumped!
Too bad you don't give the skiers credit for their talent, Luc Néron and JF Beaulieu are at the end...
Very nice compilation Wyzman88. :)
Cant wait for winter to start.
I was doing just that...and then my alarm clock woke me up. Sigh. Hurry, snow!
