I stopped watching after “Funny Accents”, in a video like that you have to at least know the difference between accents and languages.
After seeing the comments, that wasn't the only mistake
no, the most spoken native language in the world is not english. 1st: chinese (mandarin/cantonese) and then spanish. English comes 3rd.
I was thinking that too. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
English is a Germanic language.
The most spoken first/mothertongue Language is German in all of Europe. Over 100 M People. Native German Speakers in Germany around-ish 80 M (83 M). Austria around 9 M. Switzerland has over 10 M of people, which 3/4 of em speak German respectively their local dialect (German/ Allemannic). Also Luxemburg and Liechtenstein - but can't put that into numbers tho. So in Summ over 100 M people of native Germanspeakers. German is predominately the widest spoken fist language in all Europe.
German is also spoken in the Eastern part of Belgium.
And Trentino - Alto Adige in Italy
Pretty sure Russian is the most spoken mother tongue in Europe
Na, russian! +14 million…
Sorry its 140 million people in europe, have Russian as their first language….
In Europe, the most spoken languages as a first language are Russian, German, French, English, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Ukrainian, Romanian and Dutch.
Actually the most valuable company at the moment in Europe is Novo Nordisk at $ 554 billion, LVMH at $ 453 billion and ASML at $ 391 billion.
The thing is, Europe as a whole IS at peace with Russia. If we weren't, then Russia would have been blown to bits by now. Russia is not at peace with anyone, however. If only one side is the aggressor, then the other part by default is peaceful. Europe has been trading with Russia, have had open borders with Russia, have allowed Russia to venture and settle freely in Europe, have never aggressed onto Russian UN recognized land nor property.
I get what you're saying, but definitions are important. There is no beef. There is only one side that are acting like terrorists, and the other side which is simply taking measures to prevent that aggression as humanely as possible, because Europe as a whole is not interested in beef. Europe (as recognized in a simplistic manner) has been built on the establishment of trust and cooperation, the antithesis of beef.
So let's address it straight. Russia is a terrorist state, there is no beef, only violation of all signed human agreements from one side exclusively. That's not beef, that's unprovoked aggression from one side, and self defense from the other.
the oldest border in the world is between Portugal and Spain; the oldest alliance between 2 countries is Portugal and England...
Buckingham palace : room, not bed Rooms. You have kitchens, offices, dinning rooms, librairies, parlors, reception rooms, waiting rooms, guards rooms...
Gotcha
@@foreignreacts, remember Buckingham palace was built back in the 18th century and enlarged in the 19th. A lot of the rooms had to house servants back then, because a palace like this would employ them in the hundreds. Them having plenty of bathrooms was pretty low on the list of the architects. In fact, there are only 52 "family and friends" bedrooms in the palace versus 188 staff bedrooms. There are 92 offices and 19 state rooms, plus every type of room mentioned above. It also has a post office, a cinema, a swimming pool, a medical clinic and a jeweller's workshop.
If we are talking first language, it's probably Russian, followed by German, but it's easy to understand why the second language would be English, they teach it at a lot of schools, also, thanks to an open door policy throughout the EU, for Europeans to communicate with each other when crossing the boarder, they needed a common language, English is more or less it which allows a lot of Europeans to communicate with each other.
Clearly thought, the quality of how well someone can speak a second or third language will vary from person to person, but it's either really good or good enough to get by.
Largest castle complex is Prague Castle, but Malborg is close. Prague castle is a complex of buildings and as such is is written as a largest in the Guiness Book.
I like your reactions.
Tbh, the facts are kinda interesting, but on the other hand,
its just Russia, UK and Germany all over the place
Yeah, they should have aggregate numbers.
Greetings, from Bulgaria bro.I was lucky to know my great grand mother RIP,she was born before 1900 year and had 10 kids, lose 5 of them trough 4 big wars(1 and 2 Balkan wars and 1 and 2 World Wars),adopted 5 more kids. She told me -wars,are baddest thing ever.Wars, are made by greedy rulers and peoples must control their greed,if we want to survive and start spread Life in the Space, not to kill our Life on the Earth.Healt and happynes, from Plovdiv (oldest city in Europe hihihi)
As someone who lives in a tiny country (Barbados) I'm interested in other tiny countries, including those in Europe. So maybe you can post content in relation to Luxembourg, Andorra, Malta, Liechtenstein, San Marino, Monaco, Vatican. Also though they are not tiny, but small, how about Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
17:30 One of the main reasons for the EU: peace, has worked for 70 years.
the most spoken Language in the world is Chinese (Mandarin) followed by Spanish and English is on the 3rd place
Monaco's average longevity is due to the average wealth of the population: the average Monegasque is a millionaire, workers are not Monegasque but French people coming into Monaco to work. Rich people live longer.
4:40 I just checked because Australia isn't a continent, and I'm glad the wiki community corrected it xD
And Greece is the Ancient country in Europe even the name Europe is Greek
For a European, we would not consider Russia as part of Europe though, and that’s got nothing to do with the current situation 😉
It’s technically part of what we would call Eurasia.
No. Finland is called the land of the lakes. But Sweden has more lakes. Look it up.
The Colosseum is indeed a wonder, just not one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. At least not the ones I learnt.
Louis Veton has been overtaken as the most valuable company, by Novo Nordisk. A Danish medical company.
Vuitton
@@zorglub20770 Yup.
Buckingham Palace is not a Hotel. 😜
Offices, living rooms, changing rooms, large and small reception and banquet halls, and and and ...
You've never been to a castle, it's about time!
I'm from Iceland I would love if you reacted to stuff about Iceland!!
sorry but I can't take you Icelandic people seriously, you call your country Iceland and it's mainly green vegetation
About the size of palaces in Europe, it's due to "La Cours" invented by French kings: they invited Lords, nobles and important people to spend time with him, for weeks, months, years or even permanently. This has two advantages: rebebelion was impossible as the Lords would be arrested before being able to raise an army. The second advantage was the ability to mix people from the entire kingdom, so Lords from different region would mary together and reinforce the unity of the country. There a French proverbe "loin des yeux, loin du coeur" (out of sight, out of mind). La Cours was a fix to this. But the Lords were bringing there families, servants, guards, etc. So there were hundred or thousands people actually living in those palaces. As you may know "La Cours" was imported in england and best of all, english nobles were speaking french, to show they were really nobles.
Great video again! Well done =)
3:45 I would have guessed German bc of the population, which seems to be about right looking at the other comments ^^
13:56 I have learned recently that I was born with a genetic condition, which actually explains a lot of "random" symptoms, and not being able to sustain high temperature, even "reasonnable" ones (for normal people) was one of them. Hope you'll find where it's coming from in your case =)
Make videos about Bulgaria, place 🇧🇬
1:51 Istanbul was called Constantinople before the Ottoman Turks conquered it (new capital of Roman empire after emperor Constantine moved there, later capital city of Byzantine empire, after western part fell apart. Almost as old as London(ium).
San Marino September 3rd 301 AD
In the whole world, mandarin dominates by far as spoken language. If we combine people who speak english as both first AND second language, it doesnt come close. The more you know.
Why do you need 700 rooms?? Wait till you find out about the Palace of Parliament in Romania, it has 1100 rooms :)... And that fact about Buckingham Palace is wrong, in fact "As of 2020, the Palace of the Parliament in Romania is valued at €4 billion, making it the most expensive administrative building in the world.".
and I think it still holds the place as the heaviest too LOL.
If you speak a language, you speak a language. It's not like most European countries have several languages spoken natively within theirs border. If you're truly fluent in a language, why would it matter what age you learned it. 51% might not be accurate depending on the level of proficiency required to be considered a speaker, it's probably more 51% can speak and understand English.
You should make a video about Bulgaria!
The oldest language and culture in Europe is Basque. A preindoeuropean language, so somehow it is the last indigenous language in Europe before the indoeuropean invasion happened. Georgian, abkhazian share the same characteristic.
thought san marino was the oldest country... like 300/350 AD..
The oldest Republic, yes
This video isn't very accurate
As a bulgarian i would love to see more videos about my country. Also interesting fact. The oldest gold treasure was found in Bulgaria
I seen a video of picpocketers and thieves in european countries are alot from bulgaria .. i visited bulgaria people try to scam me too much even in shops .infrastracture is a disaster .
@@slavplaysgames most of them are gypsies. and you can find scammers in every country
1.As of 2023, an estimated 1.46 billion people speak English around the World. Incredibly, this amounts to 18.07% of the global population, almost 1 in 5 people. More people speak English than any other language.
I would say most spoken is german with aound 100 million people
whomever made the video has a few inaccuracies in it, so try not to take it all at face value.
So american to think that English is important due to the US, in the world English is important due to the historic influence of the United Kingdom which at one point held big portion of World as its own. It has been the largest empire in human history. Mother tongues the most spoken in Europe is complicated since a vast majority of the countries have their own language and only a couple of language are shared among nations. the answer would be simple in terms of population the most spoken language in Europe is Russian, then probably is German which is the official language of Germany and Austria. While by country I guess it would be French since four countries have it as its official or co-oficial language France, Monaco, Belgium and Switzerland, followed again a by German three nations Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein, Luxembourg consider German and French as co-oficial but only as administrave matters. You can count Italian which is spoken in Italy, Vatican City and San Marino.
we Europeans also would like it if there was no beef...
but right now, the only way that would happen is if we would accept anything and everything Russia (their leaders, never mistake the will of a peoples with the will of their leaders) want...
Do u know anything about the country called Malaysia??
lol i totally was like "what beef in europe?? i DON´T know what you´re talking about" wtf??? like do you mean football or hockey 'beef'? or some immigration shit?" .... but then you started explaining .... XD
i´m such an old fart that normally when i talk about europe, i mean western europe, in to which i also include the nordics and southern europe
i wonder from what year this report was. Usually (10x in a row i think?) the most livable city is Vienna.. Well according to euronews vienna is the most livable city in the world. which is strange, if it isn't the most livable city in europe - or maybe the video you watched is just wrong in some aspects....
How is Bulgaria older than Greece? 🤔
This video seems like an AI made it 😂
I thought the oldest country in Europe was San Marino. When Bulgaria was founded?
681AD
San marino was founded in 303 AD. France is the second oldest country founded in 481 AD
AND ROMAN EMPIRE ?
@@slavplaysgames Doesn't exist anymore.
Dices Europa es un país??? Q país es europa?
Fun fact: Nobody knows, what you re yapping bout
18:14 I think that if the Germans returned the things stolen during WW2 from their museums, this point would be irrelevant. On the contrary, they could boast that they have the fewest museums per capita 😅
Australia is not a continent, it's a country. Wich is part of oceania continent.
The number one mother tongue in Europe is Russian, then German, then French, then English.
ENGLISH IS THE DOMINANT LANGUAGE IN THE WORLD. AND THEN SPANISH. !!!!
not as official language though...
Am sorry. But english is not the most spoken! In the world its Mandarin (Chinese) and not english. Sorry to dissapoint…
The most widely spoken languages in terms of native speakers are as follows1:
Mandarin Chinese: With approximately 941 million native speakers, Mandarin Chinese tops the list. It belongs to the Sino-Tibetan language family and falls under the Sinitic branch.
Spanish: Spanish comes in second place, with around 486 million native speakers. It is part of the Indo-European language family, specifically the Romance branch.
English: English has about 380 million native speakers and belongs to the Indo-European language family, within the Germanic branch.
Hindi: Hindi is an Indo-Aryan language with approximately 345 million native speakers.
Bengali: With around 237 million native speakers, Bengali is another Indo-Aryan language.
Portuguese: Portuguese has 236 million native speakers and is also part of the Romance branch within the Indo-European family.
Russian: Russian, an Indo-European language from the Balto-Slavic branch, has 148 million native speakers.
Japanese: Japanese, a Japonic language, is spoken by approximately 123 million native speakers.
Yue Chinese (Cantonese): Yue Chinese has 86 million native speakers and is part of the Sino-Tibetan language family.
Vietnamese: Vietnamese, an Austroasiatic language (specifically Vietic), has 85 million native speakers.
English is the most spoken 2nd language!!! Fact.
There are around 7,000 languages worldwide, 225 indigenous languages in Europe, 121 in India alone.
Mandarin is the most widely spoken language in the world, even though there are another 300 languages in China.
We are talking about languages, not dialects, mind you!!!
Bulgaria is not the oldest country in Europe not San Marino or France etc. The notion of country and state begin to appear much later in the end of middle ages and it underlines the beginning of Early Modern Era. There we can talk about states and countries on rise. Before we can only talk with the exception of Byzantine Empire, the Arab states or Persia we can speak scientifically only about multiethnic or multi-tribal top down regimes with very few traces of a minimum if any notion of state moreover nation state. Ofcourse its modern nation has a narrative story that fades back in time but according to historical science and facts we can speak about states and countries only much later around 14 th century at the earliest and making huge compromises. Ofcourse we are talking about Europe and Middle East.
The video has a lot of inconsistencies and inaccurate information and it is audacity of the original creator to add the world "facts" at his narrative. Unfortunately another bad video that wannabe but it is not informative, in the contrary.
The Real Palace in Madrid is more big that Buckingham palace
And on the Continent calles Europe, russian is the most dominant language, not german….by far
Just started to react to this and right at the beginning I have to correct him. Europe is not a continent, a continent is a landmass that has a large watermass parting them from other landmasses, so man made canals doesnt count. America is one continent because North America and South America are parted by man made canal. Europe is acually a part of the Eurasian and African continent because Africa is also parted from Eurasia by a man made canal.
1 fact, Europe isnt in the USA, or Africa!
another fact, Europe is a continent, not a country!
The fact that USAians call themself most of the times "Americans" even though they hate Mexicans, at least in their own country, who in reality are also Americans, makes clear that they don't get the difference between continents and countrys.
Q ignorante cada país su lengua no existe una lengua predominante solo es por la cantidad de habitantes
The Oldest Country In Europe Is GREECE!!!(3000 B.C.)
At that time Greece was not a country and wasn't named Greece. Then aroun 1500 BC it was called Mycenaean civilization then it was organized around cities. It was then organized in kingdom like Macedonia, Thessaly. Then it was "romanized" and included in the Roman Empire and the the Byzantine empire.
In the video, the point is the oldest country with the same name. The name of Greece (Hellas) appears earlier but was not used for a long time through byzantine and ottoman empire.
But i must admit that the choice of bulgaria is strange, since it was also included in Byzantine and Ottoman empire.
I think that the oldest country in Europe is San Marino since it was never conquered and was always named San Marino.
Russian is number 1 language in Europe
in civilized Europe at least, it is not
Hate those sh*t videos saying Russia and Turkisj are in Europe. They're not.
well, i would consider russia in europe ( the west part and it has its main population there) but turkey not, with it s tiny part in europe...it 's like saying France is a south american country because of Guyana.
@@vaudou74 Europe is not only a geographic notion, it's also a social type. dictatorships like russia and theocracies like turkey have nothing in common with europe.
@@pubsapass1214 you are very daft
@@pubsapass1214 So does that mean Germany ceased to be a European nation from 1934-1945? What exactly does government-type have to do with a country's location?
