As others have mentioned, Airplane Part 2 is a spin off or sequel to j-hope’s solo song Airplane, which was on his first mixtape Hope World. It’s something I love about BTS; how they interweave their songs to create even more art. Another example is Jimin making a solo song Set Me Free part 2 on his Face (debut) album that was inspired by Suga’s Set Me Free off D2 solo album.
It also bodes well for their reunion next year. I can’t wait to see what threads they pick from the solos of each member and incorporate it into their group projects.
As a Jinkook bias you simply MUST see the MAMA 2018 live version of Airplane Part 2 as it has one of my all time fave Jung Kook moments. I’ve seen a lot of other ARMYS recommending it too so please trust us all again and add it your watch list.
