      This is a small lake inside a small town, they start in a river called Ljusnan and take a very narrow stream that leads into that small lake called Kyrksjön (=Churchlake) the church with a separate clocktower can be seen between 1:48 - 2:22, the small lake has some reqreational asphalt trails for walking and jogging arround it and there is some soccerfields, baseballfield and a seasonal playground and a combined festivity and amusmentpark, at the end they stop close to a small beach where it's also a skatepark, the town is called Ljusdal (=Lightvalley) that has arround 10 000 inhabitants but is a center in a rural area with some other smaller towns arround with 3 000 - 4 000 inhabitants , I lived there by that lake between 2009-2014.

      I had a belt blow up on me right after crossing a patch of open water, I knew I was on thin ice and I knew there was a another spot of open water a little ways in front of me. It was the fastest I have ever changed a belt in my life. It was the last time I messed with thin ice crossings at night or when by myself.
      I was in a hurry that night and the trail that looped around was an extra 20 miles vs about 1 mile of of ice crossing. But to this day I hate to think what would have happened if the belt had blown even 5 seconds before it did.

Main difference is the rear suspension. then there are much more small details (skis, seat,shocks etc.) that separates lynx from skidoo. Lynx also builds and designs skidoo utility sleds.

      @Kowalski301 4 года назад +2

      @@jimmymetcalfe9167 It's a bad habit, nothing more. It started many decades ago when the "cool" kids on the race sleds actually had to blip the throttle on the old carb engines with super lean jetting, from keeping it blow up. It then continued into this decade with some turbo sleds where you need to keep it in the power band. But on these direct incjected n/a engines, it's completely unneccesary and you are only wearing out the engine, clutch, belt and chain faster.

    So the float on the front is for when they lose momentum and it sinks?

    • @perkaijserr1634

      Yeah, so if they sink they know where it is when they are going to pick it up

      it also has straps on a good anchor point on the front bumper/frame, so they wouldn't have to do that underwater

      8K is pretty low, Polaris tach's 8250 from the factory and can run up to 8750 when modified. Mine runs at 8450 :)

    What modifications do you need to make to keep them running cool in the water?

    • @bradymacdonald1547
      @bradymacdonald1547 4 года назад +1

      fall water would keep them pretty cool. stock sleds have cooling fins that carry coolant through the tunnel under the seat where there water splashing from the track does almost as good of a job as the snow would. id still be watching my temps though. cheers
