I'm trying to clear some old projects up and rewatching this video, specifically the sewing up the side seams to join panels. Thank you for such a clear explanation and pictures, it looks much easier than I thought the first time I watched it. I've seen some that were crocheted together and others that were sewn and all have their merits. The crochet join makes a nice narrow braid on top, very fancy looking! @ I WOULD LIKE TO PASS ON A TIP ON HOW TO UNRAVEL AT BEGINNING OF YOUR PROJECT. START SET UP WITH ODD YARN FOR A FEW ROWS. NOW WITH A 3M LENGTH OF COTTON SUCH AS FOR CROCHET , NOT TOO THICK. SLOWLY TURN WINDER FOR ONE ROW ONLY , AND AT THIS STAGE START YOUR MAIN YARN. WHEN YOU ARE AT THE FINISHING PART !! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL YOUR STITCHES PICKED UP !! THEN PULL OUT YOUR COTTON AND YOUR WASTE YARN SHOULD DROP OFF. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NO JOINS OR KNOTS ON THIS 3M COTTON, CAN BE USED MANY TIMES TIMES. HOPE THIS HELPS, ENJOY

I was making hats with my machine and thinking how comfy of a blanket it would make. This video is so helpful! I don’t have a lot of patience with long projects but i’m sure i will make one sometime before the end of the year (:
