    I'm gonna be honest... I cheated in math a lot.... And I got really depressed because I knew eventually I was gonna get caught and fail my 8th grade year because I was at a point in math where if I just stopped cheating I would have no idea what the heck I was doing... So basically I watched this video and finished up the year cheating, but now I'm in high school and I'm making Bs and Cs without cheating.... So this video helped me a lot.

Ive recently been going home and opening up youtube to revise and learn about these things as I am doing my GCSES. However you sir just explained how to do this within 1 minute, short and helpful and makes it easy for me to remember. My teacher gives us this long method on how to do this and expects me to remember it all. Thank you so much. I think i will do so so well in my Mock exams tomorow because of you. You are the enemy of every teacher who insisted on "showing your work".
    I thought I disliked math because of those teachers... No... I disliked having to do a bunch of extra writing for no reason.

      to tell you the truth? that two line you comment is my number 1 motto in high school....
      when i started to learn the math or algebra in college level... I prove that my motto in high school was a lie!!!
      math is better than any subjects you can learn.... i guarantee you... if you could just ONLY understand the patterns you will definitely love them just like your X goes to Y :D

    Why did you get rid of the negative signs? I thought two negative numbers you add and keep the sign. I got -5. every little detail counts in solving algebraic problems. Alexandra can u share your thoughts on this one?

      Hey guys 😊 just a tip, but a negative and a positive ( - + ) always equals a negative and a negative and a negative always equals a positive ( - - )

    • @thegoat5888
      @thegoat5888 8 лет назад

      It's because to change a negative to a positive, you multiply by negative 1. For example, -4 X -1 =4. So since both sides of the equation were negative, he just multiplied each side by negative 1. This just changes the sides from negative, to positive.
