The annuciators are hysterical. Temperature is The Thermonunciator. Blower oil level is The Lubrinunciator. St. Paul’s K street in DC has an electric bench height adjustment with an indicator. In the organ world it’s known as the Buttannunciator
This organ would sound much better in another room because Covenant's space is acoustically very dead and surprisingly small for an instrument of this size.. Obviously, quite a generous budget was available to purchase this instrument. I hope the Organ Media Foundation visits St James Catholic church in Madison to experience the Wadsworth organ there, with added stops by James Taylor. A four manual Skinner is being installed at St. Bernard's, Madison. Originally in a building that accommodated 5,000 people, this 1916 Skinner is scaled using very high wind pressures. A two manual Skinner is being installed there as well, with the two instruments connected. Maybe the Organ Media Foundation will be able to introduce these instruments to the community as well.
Very noticeable wind leak in the Choir division. Certainly is packed into the chambers. Awesome sound, and loads of registration aids - once the organist gets used to the technique!
@@dgmcneelMy mistake! Maybe it was the big tuba. I was in the restroom helping my son, who is deaf, when a large reed was engaged. Didn't affect Johnny, but I remember being very startled....as in holy crap!
Not that thrilled about the organ. It doesn't have any "bite" to it. The room is quite dry and should have been acoustically treated, in my opinion. The video, itself, was quite good.
Again, it is disturbing that the sound level fluctuates during the recording between the conversations and the music. The musical sections are usually muted and there is a noticeable loss of the high frequencies and the ambient reverberation heard during the conversation.

What hymn was being played at 12:51- 13:00?

A pedal reed is located next to a rest room wall. So, if you have a constipation problem....
There is not a pedal independent reed, and there is not a restroom near the organ. Sorry, Dan.
