Because Delirious knows that when you're in the military especially the Iraqi army in the early 2000's, you follow orders It's in character for Salim to do everything his commanding officer says no matter how much he hates it, it's why he begs for forgiveness before shooting the helicopter, you are NOT allowed to argue

I just realized that those hands in the beginning reminds me of the hands they had in their last game. The one holding the child before the accident. When the house was burning and when it cut the the little girl, there was a being right behind her and hand over her shoulder. Ive also noticed that there’s an element of the next game in the prequel one. That’s a nice touch.
I've started re-watching man of medan and they read a newspaper saying a group of marines going into Iraq and then it stops. There's little hints in each game along with the same characters

Finally, I can’t wait for future episodes. GoW series, A way out, Battleblock theater, etc. There’s something special about these kind of Co-op games no matter how low/high the game overall, where they can have fun and mess around

If they end up getting two characters killed off in this one and everyone else lives in the end, I would be very impressed. But, I really do hope they can keep everyone alive this time. 🤞

Not gonna lie, The Curator intro to our story seems to be the best intro to a DnD campaign ever. Super dramatic and over the top, a bit of spook and intrigue, with just a splash of mischief thrown in.
