I’ve been suggesting the SRT392 over the BGE6.4 for ever, either one is the only engine that makes sense, by now I hope they also worked on developing a smaller V8 for future platforms as well.
Agreed Stellantis needs to get the stick out of their backsides that seems to be preoccupying their thoughts and leading to gross procrastination. They however must develop products that are durable, reliable, and simpler to repair and put products in driveways that people once again to a good degree can fix on their own. Barring that, all consumers will see is more shiny new crap that will cost too much to buy and then keep on the road!
I hope they stop using over seas suppliers just needed a piece to fix a car in repair and told me it would be over a week because it was out of the country!!
Changing to V8s isn’t gonna make any of these vehicles more affordable. They need to relax vehicle safety regulations if they really want to help consumers. Emissions and safety are the 2 main reasons cars are so expensive these days.
Well, if they go BK, CDJR could be available for cheap. Sounds like a deal for Trump. Taking emissions back to the 70's?? That sounds like a stretch to me. That means no EGR valves even. That's seriously bad air quality there.
TK, should we buy some Stellantis stock? It seems like it bottomed out and with these changes it could be something to discuss on the channel. It's not under $10 like it was in 2020, but it seems undervalued based on this news.
They already have the Charger/300 platform….hopefully they didn’t burn the blueprints…. Use previous generation Charger/300 or even current EV platform…..just stick ICE engine…..PentaStar or Hurricane……If it takes Hurricane to get easier production, so be it. Whatever they come up with, the new generation of CDJR vehicles…..will take more than engines to be marketed and competitive…..technology….UC5, safety technology, wireless, charging, etc…. As for the Hurricane……granted, I don’t tow, but I have been very impressed with the Hurricane 6…both versions. I am not thrilled without the 91 octane required on the HO version……. Especially in North TX, where it is not available…have to go to 93…. I would prefer 89 which in my case makes my Charger HEMI and Hurricane 6 match. Let’s see if I am still praising the H6 in 100-150K miles, but for now very impressed with power and torque.

Looking forward to the 4 door Mustang!
ICE rules! Get on-board Stellantis!
Stellantis for whatever reason doesn't want to invest or retool plants that are capable of pumping out v8 vehicles . Wtap ha always built trucks with the 5.7 and 6.4 l hemi and for whatever reason that plant is the odd ball out when it comes to product coming to it . Still no word l on them
We need a hummer with a 6.2L and a Duramax
Yes!
Give people what they want at an affordable price with better parts than what they are doing
Real V8s real diesel bring it
If they offered the 392 in the rho I would put in a order TODAY
Agree, I like my trucks simple give me a Tradesman with a 6.4 and 3.92 gears 😁
Sounds like there is a change of command ceremony in the near future
I want Ford to make a V8 Bronco or full size Bronco.
Let's bring our engineering back to the US.
Tk your great just saying screw NASCAR it's a political correctness joke
We were always doomed. Now comes the denoument.
TK, should we buy some Stellantis stock? It seems like it bottomed out and with these changes it could be something to discuss on the channel. It's not under $10 like it was in 2020, but it seems undervalued based on this news.
6.4 should be an option at least
Stellantis got caught with gasoline balloons in CDJR
Illinois just offered $14 million of Rebates for EV's . Go figure . I am sure it was a Dept of Energy Grant as Joey walked out the Door - Yep
Expect President Trump to do exactly as he said, change is coming
Changing to the 6.4L makes perfect sense. Hurricane 6 can be salvaged by bringing it back later as a much simpler, normally-aspirated base engine.
Yea lets go back to 10 miles per gallon...
