The activity depicted in this video is part of the prenumber math concepts of "before, after, and in between" using games, in this case a car to play the activity and make learning fun and interactive.
The numbers visible on the wheels of the car helps your child understand their positional relationship, by understanding that the first number 1 will come before the other numbers.
While playing, talk to your child about which will arrive first, and explain that 1 comes "before" all other numbers.
Next explain which number arrives next and explain that this means that the number 2 comes "after" the number 1. Similarly explain to the child that the one in the middle of the number 1 and the number 3 is "in between."
Use the prenumber concept of before, between and after in everyday situations to teach simple math concepts.
For example, We can count the number of people in any country, but we may not be able to count the number of stars in the sky or the number of hair strands on our heads.
