Yay one where you are all together, you said one was coming soon with all of you. Thank you. You guys rock. Chevy Chase is hilarious. So many good movies. Gerard is my fav btw. 😊 And yes you are correct, Three Amigos is an awesome movie. You should definitely react to that wen you can all be together.
hats off to his wife Marge, those three weeks up at Trembling hills really paid off, no more alcohol or sedatives in her life Dr. Jellyfinger: "Joan,or Margaret?" Fletch: "Uh huh, right." Dr. Jellyfinger: "Well which one?"
Doc: "Isn't there a children's book about an elephant named Babar?" Fletch: "I don't know,i don't have any." Doc: "No children?" Fletch: "No elephant books."
A lot of character actors in this one who are brilliant actors in general along with a few cameos: George Wendt -- Fat Sam...played Norm Peterson in "Cheers". Tim Matheson -- the guy who wants Fletch to kill him --- from the classic comedies "Yours, Mine and Ours" (1968), "Animal House" (1976), and as Van Wilder's father in "National Lampoon's Van Wilder" (write that down) M. Emmett Walsh --- the doctor giving him the prostate exam -- is sports writer Dickie Dunn from the sports comedy classic "Slap Shot" (1977) "Dickie Dunn wrote that, it's gotta be true!" David W. Harper --- the kid stealing the car --- grew up on TV in the 1970s/80s as Jim-Bob Walton in the long running series "The Waltons". Many others in the film as well. Not a Chevy Chase fan myself. He has a tendency to do this thing with his eye brows whenever he delivers the punch line. If I were to recommend another Chevy Chase film, I'd suggest "Caddyshack" or "Funny Farm".
Before SNL, Chevy Chase did a movie called "The Groove Tube" and was a founding member (along with many other soon-to-be-stars of SNL) of the National Lampoon Radio Hour. The Groove Tube is some low-budget fringe comedy madness, definitely worth a viewing.
Hi Guys, once again great to see you all & see you reacting to a classic `80`s comedy. :) For more Chevy Chase, checkout the 1978 film (Foul Play) starring with Goldie Hawn & the 1980 film (Seems Like Old Times) also With Goldie Hawn. As other`s have mentioned the 1980 film (Caddyshack) with Bill Murray & Rodney Dangerfield.
Fletch is one of my favorite comedies. I wish you hadn't edited out the interaction with the airline clerk when he says, 'God Don Don!" but it was still a fun reaction.
The soundtrack is quite impressive. The score of the movie was by Harold Faltermeyer, who had just worked on Beverly Hills Cop; and the following year would score Top Gun.
@@RKnights No. "Chevy Chase" is English slang for hunting land (a chase) in the Cheviot Hills on the Northumberland-Scottish border. It gave rise to a famous ballad in the 15th century about a hunting party that accidentally started a war.
Theres been a resent movie put out , i believe based on fletch books. This one stars John Ham. Always watched both when I saw them on tv, the third is still pritty good.
One of the funniest Chevy Chase movies in my opinion, that and the first two Vacation movies and Spies Like Us! "Ah, you usin' the whole fist doc?!" Hilarious!
This is Chevy Chase in his prime. It's not a complex plot, when I was a child I had no idea what was going on. It's his mannerisms and his dialogue that really make this movie. The kind of flick where the director just says just let him go. And yes, the guy is a total Ahole. But he does know what is funny and what is not, that's probably why directors don't like working with him. In my opinion this is his best film, after that, the first three Vacation movies. Great reaction boys, thank you.
Coulda just praised the movie, enjoyed your 90 mins and go outside and play. But Nooo.... how did you know he's an Ahole? You know him? He worked for you? Or you worked for him? Cos I did. For 4months on a picture. I was an undocumented illegal worker with no papers but fake green card. Could hardly speak English. Got busted and Producer wanted to fire me from craft service. Chevy intervened and rescued me. He didn't need one but I became his 'assistant'. I used the remaining time to learn sound mixing and today I am a post production sound editor. My family has been eating well for 30 years because of Chevy's lifeline. God bless America and the big hearted Americans
@ltcolumbo9708 Damm, didn't mean to upset you, my apologies. No, I do not know the man, just going off a documentary I saw. A lot of people in were saying how selfish and demanding he is, but that doesn't mean I don't love his work. Obviously I'm a fan of his work. Kevin Spacey never rapped me when I was a teenager, but I also watched a documentary on him, so I should just disregard all documentarys? Take a breath, relax, enjoy your life. Have a nice day.
Who ever don't know any of the famous names I just wanted to let him know there have been celebrities long before he was born he ain't the only one that didn't know time existed before 1980
This is such an interesting movie, because Chase makes it appear like a comedy, but it's actually deep, dark social realism, about entrenched corruption at all levels of society.
@@RKnights I found one at the thrift shop and loved the movies so much I read it in high school though this one was a diff story based on politics and elections in DC -not filmed yet. Would be super relevant today.
There is a sequel to Fletch that is about as good Fletch Lives. As a child I really liked Chevy Chase's movie Modern Problems, but I tried to watch it a few years ago and it is pretty horrible. The other famous movies he made are the Vacation franchise and Caddyshack - not films I enjoyed as a child or adult.
Does the third guy from the right laugh at all? The guy in the red is old enough to get the jokes. The first guy I mentioned looks like he doesn't have a silly bone in his body, it's a shame really because this is hilarious!
I know one of the actors in this film and he confirms that CC is (was) a dick. However, it is the only CC movie worth watching over and over. The soundtrack, screenplay and editing make it a classic. The host understands the humor more than the rest of the crew- keep educating the younger viewers!

I love that movie so much. I think these guys will get a kick out of it.
@@RKnights yes, 100%. I cannot wait 😂
Wow i just happened to search Fletch reaction since there are so few, and bam i find this like 33 minutes after the upload. One of my favorites!
It was meant to be :-)
Such an amazing movie that doesn't get enough credit...great job!!
hats off to his wife Marge, those three weeks up at Trembling hills really paid off, no more alcohol or sedatives in her life
Dr. Jellyfinger: "Joan,or Margaret?"
Fletch: "Uh huh,right."
Dr. Jellyfinger: "Well which one?"
Alan Stanwyck: "Do you own rubber gloves?"
Fletch: "I rent 'em. I have a lease with an option to buy."
Doc: "Isn't there a children's book about an elephant named Babar?"
Fletch: "I don't know,i don't have any."
Doc: "No children?"
Fletch: "No elephant books."
"I'm sorry, who are you again?"
Fletch: "I'm Frieda's boss."
"Who's Frieda?"
Fletch: "My secretary."
What a classic! Love 80s comedies.

and of course the Vacation movies
@@kelly9876 They mentioned those in the introduction.
@@RKnights Putting little thoughts in your head for future viewing choices. Caddyshack and Yours, Mine and Ours are classic comedies.

I forgot how funny this film was. A comedy classic!!
Y'all be safe
I've seen this so many times it's insane. I know every beat and quote
Same here had both on VHS , Legos and TV

Love this movie.. love these comments.. so many quips and one liners.. glad everyone enjoyed it.. dare I say fletch lives is even better!!
The music was from the same guy who did Beverly Hills Cop
That makes a lot of sense
Somewhere there's an elderly Doberman sitting on a bench talking about how he used to be somebody
now do the sequel Fletch Lives!
Its on the list
Random Chevy Chase fact: he was a drummer for a few gigs with some guys who ended up being the main part of Steely Dan.
Fletch is one of my favorite comedies. I wish you hadn't edited out the interaction with the airline clerk when he says, 'God Don Don!" but it was still a fun reaction.
Dr. Jellyfinger: "He was in intensive care for 8 weeks."
Fletch: "No,i mean the VERY end, when he actually died. It was extremely sudden!"-LOL
I really liked "Memoirs of an Invisible Man." He was the big star in that. An underrated Sci-Fi comedy.
I heart this movie so much.
The soundtrack is quite impressive. The score of the movie was by Harold Faltermeyer, who had just worked on Beverly Hills Cop; and the following year would score Top Gun.
This movie was made before Chase was really hated. 😁
Chevy Chase was born "Cornelius Crane Chase"
Chevy Chase is a town just outside of Washington DC.
Really, is it named after him?

You got a fletch and fletch live😭💭I love you man these are hard to get reaction to.
Another hilarious 1985 comedy you guys should check out, INTO THE NIGHT (1985) with a very young Jeff Goldblum, playing an insomniac.
Definitely see the recent Fletch sequel with Jon Hamm in the main role, "Confess, Fletch." Hilarious. Laugh-a-minute.
Theres been a resent movie put out , i believe based on fletch books. This one stars John Ham. Always watched both when I saw them on tv, the third is still pritty good.
If you haven't already done so, check out Spies Like Us with Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd.

Chevy Chase and Dan Akroyd in Spies Like Us, classic Russian and American Cold War spy comedy.
Chevy at his best, Caddy Shack, Vacation (first two), Three Amigos, are good ones
RIP M Emmet Walsh
the younger guys didn't get the jokes, which is understandable- not a lot of people under 30 know who G Gordon Liddy is.
he's 6'5", with the Afro,6'9"
That was great
