This is soooo amazing ! Professional experimental ! Like it so much !! :))) Remind me when I was in high school ! I try to cut a leaves hive And study them in a plastic box ! Ps. I misunderstand until Found your video that they use their own larvae for a web. I thought it come from steal some other worm.
Great video! One comment, in Africa there is Oecophylla longinoda or smt like that so they do have a species of true weaver ants. They basically look the same with Asian oecophylla smaragdina
WOW! Just realized that you don't use any setup to trap them, they really do know their keeper... Had I kept my fire ants in an open setup, they would have dumped me in minutes 🤣 Gotta try this someday, thank you for the informative video!
Hi, When can I move my weaver ant colony to a new testube? How many workers should there be before I move them? Because their current testube is getting dirty because of leftover grasshopper leg and head.
@@ObservingAntsPhilippines she is alraight, she weaved an entrance, but iam concerned that her colony wont weave a nest like yours in a 20mm test tube :/
africa has weaver ants there are only 2 weaver ant species in the whole word maybe more but so far these are the only one discovered africa houses one of those species: Oecophylla longinoda

Nice video! Can't wait to catch one of these queens myself :D
Polygynous doesn't mean that they have more than one nest. It means they can have multiple queens
I definitely did not need to know I can found these amazing ants in a test tube. My wallet is at risk now. They are so fascinating!

Hi, When can I move my weaver ant colony to a new testube?

I would cordially ask you to either speak slowly or improve your hard accent. It is very difficult to gasp what you are narrating! 😮
