But what if the whole show has been going on in his head this whole time and him and Betty never actually got together? I'd hate but I feel like there were hints to that in season 1.

I loved it, but for constructive criticism, if you put in the scene in a flash forward the three find a dead Jug, and Archie takes his pulse announcing he's dead (in the woods) if you just cut off when he asks Betty what did you do, and then show Betty say to Veronica he could still be out there(cos she's still in shock), Otherwise, ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!
Jughead is writing his perfect murder about himself. Thats why there are flash forward of him dead and stuff like that. He is not dead that is him writing his story. They would never cut him like that.

My actual theory is... Jughead is not dead because the story the show is showing us is the story that they want us to see, ther is scenes that are real but i think the sneak peaks are parts of the story that jughead is writing to the baxter brothers, that story is taking to the real life to live it to make more easy to write because he said he was blocked for the first time writing, to bring that story to real life he asks for help to veronica,archie,betty and fp to make it all more real. Thats my theory and i thing that it can be true basing on the first 9 episodes of this season
I legit thought Betty was pregnant when I first watched this, cuz for some reason on Netflix episode 6 of riverdale season 4 isn't out yet (it was supposed to be out today) and I thought I missed Jughead and Betty having a child I nearly cried, but then I read the description xD
i feel like jug never woke up from when the ghoulies attacked him. why else would there be a grave stone for him and betty saying that there story is not over. fp and betty even saw his dead body and they wouldnt just kill of a main character unless they wan to leave.
