The downside to the SooSoo Toys version is that it's based on Blade Trinity. It looks nice, but I think most people want a Blade/Blade II looking figure.

Its not a re-cast as there's to many differences, just compare the ear for starters, they're completely different. Also how can the recast have more detail than the original. You say what a great figure it is, but then say it can easily be beat by soosoo as though if its really bad, then saying dont get this but wait for the soosoo even though nobody has seen the finished product from soosoo wtf.
I see what you mean, it’s likely I didn’t portray myself clearly but I meant that if SooSoo are able to produce their usual level of quality (that we know they can) and not reproduce the mis-steps that this figure has then they CAN beat it. Doesn’t mean that they will, but if they make a better stand (thats not all scuffed up with hideous plastic) and give us articulation in the ankles it could be a better figure overall. Its still up to the buyer as one is based off of his look in Blade 1 and one is Blade 2 but it’s well within reason to believe SooSoo can beat the overall quality of this (but we will see).
I guess I'm in the minority here. I hate the body. The ratches make it difficult to pose. The boots add to it. Other than that, the figure is great. The legs are a little skinny. Might have to add some slight padding. If I can get the vest off, I might swap out the body

I know, I was a bit distracted trying to get all the filming done but you’re right, the sheath should go under the coat

Amen! It was so close aswell! Just a few little tweaks and it could have added so much more quality and value for very little work!

It was claimed in the promo material sent to onesixtkit.com to be genuine leather. It smells like it to me but its a bit softer than I was expecting.

Unfortunate. Guess I'll stick with my HT version. Was hoping this would be a significant improvement.
