I've been in India since 2018, and as I was reviewing my annual expenses, I noticed a HUGE difference between my cost of living in here and the USA. So I dug through my old footage for days and have a short video to show you some differences if you're thinking of traveling India for awhile or seeing America.

living in India as a foreigner is easy. As an Indian it’s difficult unless you’re rich 🤑 However, people are rich of culture
No culture is grater than sanatana india
*True
Poor in USA becomes rich in India
Difficult unless you are rich?? what are you smoking mate? I am neither rich nor poor, I comfortably earn enough to buy a car, go on foreign vacay once a year and rent a 2bhk. Its only difficult if you are on a poverty line.
@@regularhuman95 wow you're above average family man
That '100 rupees?' face is the most accurate Indian thing

I only spend about $350 USD a month in India for my wife and I, and live a good life. I live near Aizawl, Mizoram which is very inexpensive compared to big cities like Bangalore or Mumbai. Northeast India is also very safe in general, especially Mizoram, and friendly.
How did you find your home?
@@allthingsloveone4584 For me it's different because my wife's family is from here, but in general the best way to find a place in India is first reach the place to make sure you like the place, make friends there and ask the locals the best places to live. Main cities of India have websites that have apartments listings.
What i loved most about ur video is u came here to live simple life & be at peace away from all that havoc & u r enjoying here. 👌😍🙏 that's my India - simplicity that connects to u mother earth & its ppl.

BUBBA! I get that you might wanna go back to them darn hills of Austin, Texas though I don´t think there are any there, are there? Never been there. What's the issue with Royal Enfield. Every American seems to be after it in India.
When people always look at Harley Davidson and most of them not afford to buy because of its too expensive..
When they travel to india and they looked at the Royal Enfield and they felt that it's an Asian Harley, unfortunately they check the price for it, also they unfortunately checked the quality of the bike. They felt n they wanted to drive that, so why.

Namaskaram Ben... Nice video... Hope you stay back in India... I mean i see many Indians go settle in the United States... But you did the exact opposite... People like you prove that living in India is beautiful too(in it's own way)... Many Indians themselves have very low regard for life in this country...no country has everything... Each nation is beautiful in its own way... And India is a very unique country with things that are totally different to others... People never learn to appreciate for what this country actually is in originality due to various reasons(like distorted history, misunderstanding of their rich culture and so on...) and they only see what they don't have... No wonder the proverb "Other side of the grass is always more green" stands so true. Anyways thank you for making people understand various things and you'll always have my love and support.
India is good country only for tourists
@@vaibhavj765 It's all in your perspective and mindset sir...the world appears to you only in the way you see it... india is beautiful in so many ways...if it doesn't seem beautiful to you it doesn't mean it's not beautiful...no offense sir...I just wanted to express my PERSPECTIVE
You’re a wise man
You are more wiser...... Hope you will succeed even more... Rethinking before doing anything.... Good luck

Hello BJ,
Your videos have been amazing. I have been watching one each morning.
Back in the 80s I was in a program AFS (American Field Service.) My mom had passed away and my dad was working the time. I ended up spending a whole summer in Sri Lanka. Hands down the best travel experience and education.
I saved my money and ended up going over to Sri Lanka that summer with about $400 US 🇺🇸.
I didn't realize at the time that was about what an average Sri Lankan made in a year. At that time it was about 20 rupees to 1 US dollar. And...you actually could buy a lot with 20 rupee. Thanks for this friendly reminder on Cost. Keep up the good work!

This is a bit off topic but when you buy cloth for your shirt next time, you should consider a 70:30 blend of Cotton:polyester as pure cotton is difficult to maintain and needs lot of ironing. The blend guarantees long life and low maintain without compromising on the comfort.

What a uniqueness in Indian living ways... It's chaotic outside with an undercurrent of peace!!!
Suggestion: your video has a brown tint (warm Colors) which doesn't seem high quality.
I can confidently say the real cost of living would be around 30% lower. You're just paying the Foreigner's extra in India, Like for that scooter

Hi Rahul! Haha
Internet is working in india is excellent for jio fiber i have only paid rs1178 fo the 150MBPS
In south india you can spend only 1000 $ transport on land , hotel cheap but also some beter hotel for 18 $, 3/4 complete meals a day, rickshaw, metro, sweets, drink, juices, sigarettes, some offer for the temples if you what including in the ammount. aAlso Sri lanka and Nepal are very cheap also for my experiece.
Is it just me or someone else also thinks that he is still spending a lot of money?
Rent is a bit high. Also if you have Airtel over there then switch over to it. Best isp in India.

Hello I wanted to find out more because my father is born and raised in India and my mother is from Europe. I am moving to India in a matter of a month and I was thinking of New Delhi. What do you think and what are your thoughts as an American woman have Indian living in India? And what should I do for work while I am there? Because I’m not looking to come back to the United States! People don’t realize how bad the United States is on several aspects!

👍👍👍. Great savings good.
Comparing expenses as it is not fair comparison, you need to compare with it with salary, So average software engineer with 6+ year of experience in Austin is$ 80k to $100k which is roughly 56-72 lakh where as in Bangalore it's 12-18lakh so appropriately salary is 5 times lower and expenses are 4 times lower so comparitevely cost of living is more in Bangalore with Bangalore salary.
Watch some movies in our theatre bro... every theatres are almost going to open and watch some big star movies ( now the movie MASTER is going to release soon) and share ur experience with American movie theatre experience bro....✌️✌️💥
Good idea
It should be compared with your earning as well. It's cheaper only when you are earning in an American pay scale.
30K is enough to live a good lifestyle in India which is around $363 , 30K is wealthy if you're alone while if you have 4 family members then also it is fine , good , as you should buy in little limit but not in entire limit .
Which city in tamilnadu
Cost of living can be super cheap or extremely expensive in any Indian city.
You just have to play your cards right.
