The Tunnel of Love Tour was incredible. My wife and I saw Bruce and the E street band at Chapel Hill Dean Dome. Danced the entire concert. I was so wore out I barely got home the next day to go to work.
Tunnel of love marked my las year of carrer (Medicine) in Venezuela. Was also the las year of stability. A milestone. One of the greatest songns ever. Thanks.
It's crazy how I was too young to see Bruce at this time. I was 16. I had no resources to go. I was pissed. Just being there when they played the chords of TOL. Wow. I can't imagine what that was like. I know some Bruce fans didn't like the TOL tour because it was after the BITUSA super stardom tour. TOL is an amazing album.
1987 was an amazing year for music: Tunnel of Love, Joshua Tree, Appetite for Destruction, Hysteria, Document, Music for the Masses, Sing o' the Times, Bad, Faith, Kick, just to name a few albums that came out that year.
Also Heart's Bad Animals (Alone) was great. '88 was also good, esp. Rod Stewart's Out of Order (Forever Young) and Cheap Trick's Lap of Luxury (The Flame).
This tour in my opinion marked the highpoint skill wise of the band. They were so tight after so many tours and recording tigether. They did some cool versions of songs and seemed to experiment more..Im obviously not saying it was their best tour because it definitely wasnt....I mean Darkness and BTUSA are two of the greatest tours in the history of Rock period, Right up there with the Stones in "69 & '72 Zeppelin in '73 and '75.The Who in '69 to name a few.The band was playing at such a high level that they had to stop for a full decade to let everyone else catch up
I discovered Bruce and the esb when I was 12 years old and saw him for the first time in 1985 I was 16 then, and I'm going to see him again now in May 2023,38 years later, a long time between drinks, but good Irish whisky last forever, I can't wate
I saw the Tunnel of Love Tour in Bremen, Germany. In 1988 and I was 23 Years old. It was amazing. Never forget it ❤❤

One of the greatest openings to a show, ever!! The brass section added a lot to this. Saw this show on April 15 that year in Austin.

Hysteria was released in 1988. I'll add White Lion "Pride" and Whitesnake "1987" to your list

I’d say 87-89 was great time for music.
