Probably Mike, then Snookie, then Pauly D (and his hair) were the big 3 that got enough people to tune in to build momentum. I'm not going to say carried, because they really didn't, but they provided the easy watercooler references

Honestly they all changed a bit but pauly and vin never changed their character with anyone or anything. And the fight on the boardwalk that was all sam she kept it going when ron was trying to walk away from it and was trying to get out of it
I'm obsessed with the cast. The casting director put together the perfect set of people. I've always loved them all and watching them grow as a family has been so heartwarming.

I was in my early 20s when this show came out. The gym, tan, laundry, rhinestone clothing, dancing, drinking, all of it was a true representation of the time. It was such a good time.

I literally could not imagine a better cast. Fun fact: Victoria Gotti admitted that at least one of her sons was almost cast for the show. But the entire chemistry here is perfect. Season 1 was so iconic for reality tv. 😂😂😂
