  • Presented by Dr. Jordan Mallon of the Canadian Museum of Nature, February 29, 2024.
The Upper Cretaceous rocks exposed in Dinosaur Provincial Park and surrounding areas are among of the most fossiliferous dinosaur-bearing deposits in the world. As such, they provide a wonderful opportunity to understand the structure and workings of dinosaur ecosystems 75 million years ago. This talk draws together Jordan’s ongoing investigations of dinosaur palaeoecology from this time and place, highlighting contributions from his collaborators, students, and his own fieldwork on the South Saskatchewan River near Hilda, Alberta.
