This might sound really dumb but caseoh’s rant about jobs made me feel a lot better. I’ve worked a few jobs & I have a decent amount of savings, & my boyfriend & I have a really good amount of savings built up to move out & live in a small apartment. However I’ve been struggling to find a decent job that I can actually stay at. I have/had a friend who was telling me I need to get any job I can & I should EXPECT to work miserable draining jobs. I’ve had jobs where the pay wasn’t the best but I was so happy. I know that there’s jobs out there that would make me happy working at & I’d be fine working there even if the pay isn’t amazing. Hearing my friend talk about it as if I’m going to put my life & mental health aside just for a job knowing that I’m probably gonna quit asap made me really upset. Especially knowing that that friend has never worked a job they hated before & couldn’t understand my situation because they live a good life. Caseoh’s rant genuinely gave me hope & made me confirm that I shouldn’t be finding any job just to get by, especially when I’m trying to move out & find a long term job I KNOW I can stay at.
