  • As we were leaving New Mexico, we hit a lot of bad storms, and Caitlyn was unsure if she was able to handle it.

    Do you remember the worst storm you've ever ridden through? Mine is still probably Hurricane Ida. ruclips.net/video/bxFuqhQk_a4/видео.html

    AH man! Makes me wish i had recorded the monsoon squall I rode through in AZ last year. And Cait, you might not have a lot of riding experience time wise, but you are definitely racking up the miles, more so than 90% of the riders out there, and that counts for a lot! Stay safe guys!

      She certainly is! Like 23-25k miles in the past year!

      It certainly is. We loved New Mexico! No camping in White Sands currently though, you used to be able to. Would be interesting to spend the night.

    You guys don’t have any heated gear?

    • @ScramblerStories
      @ScramblerStories  Год назад

      No, I do have a heated jacket liner but we didn't bring it. Needed the space for other things. We've been ok for the most part. Just sleeping cold nights in the tent with our summer sleeping bags was the worst, like that first night at the Biltwell 100!

      No more bears, but I think the Dempster was worst than bear encounters!

      @@ScramblerStories a bear will eat you... ya sure about that?

    • @ScramblerStories
      @ScramblerStories  Год назад

      @@G.Wagner_HD_Pan_America-Greg- A bear could eat you, but the odds are low. The Dempster will also try to eat you, but the odds are higher. Came across 4 riders going up. One crashed and broke a few ribs, separated his shoulder, and had to be taken to a hospital. Bike in the back of the truck.
      Two of the guys turned around to help him, one on a Tenere 700 continued to Tuk (was the better rider). But on his way back down he crashed and totaled the bike. Was bringing it back home in pieces. Two American motorcyclists died in June alone!
