Thank you for your videos. I have a mega SI transducer on my Terrova and I have Mega Live and Target Lock on a separate homemade deployment system. I use the side imaging transducer on one Helix 9 and the mega live on a different Helix 9. So, I guess the only difference is the side imaging isn't giving me the 360-degree coverage.

360 is more effective in stationary situations. For SI to give you the best returns you need to be moving at a pretty good rate of speed.

I'd appreciate it if you would do a video explaining the cone area coverage at various distances of the various Mega Live views (forward, down, landscape). I'm having trouble understanding how wide an area I'm seeing on the screen at various distances and depths. For example, I see the fish and based on the grid lines on forward mode it's 12 feet deep and 40 feet from the boat but is it in the middle of the cone angle or to the right or left side of the cone angle and how wide is the cone angle at 40 feet from the boat and 12 feet down?

We've already done that! Check out our Understanding Forward Facing Sonar videos.

Question, does the Apex unit actually resolve more detail than a Solix unit?? Not sure I'm asking that question right. Let me try another way ; if a solix unit displays a fish with 8 pixels and it looks a little blocky on the screen would an apex unit display that same fish using 16 pixels and look just as blocky or would those 16 pixels actually be resolved to display more detail of that same fish. At this time I've been running a Mega 360 with a solix G2. I wonder, would I get more finite detail with an apex or does the algorithm just light up twice as many pixels. The specs from Humminbird on both the Apex and the solix are 2.5 inch Target separation. So I don't know if the Apex algorithm will provide more detail from a given transducer.

Can you view Mega 360 and Mega live on a split screen ?

To add 360 you just need to get the transducer for the Ultrex?

I have a non mega 360, just bought a helix 15 si + g4. Hooked up my 360 and it worked for 5 minutes then disappeared and cant get it back. Is the 15 only suitable for mega 360?

I was under the impression that one of the most recent software updates discontinued support for the AS 360. I would contact Humminbird and see if they can get you the necessary software version.

How deep does 360 work? 20 feet?

      I use 360 approximately 30fow or less.

Can you run 360 and mega live on split screens to be able to view both at the same time ? Thanks

A good follow up would be to stop using forward facing sonar. The fidelity is too good and it hurts our fisheries. It is so good fish don't have places to hide now.
