I will say as of late the smaller size airplanes that you can just slap a battery in and fly have been stealing my heart lately! This plane looks PERFECT for a nice unwind after work💪
Originally the kit was a Hobbyking inhouse model in white lime green n black. Plane flies amazing its just the landing gear that is completely inadaquate to make it a better model. Not near enough propeller ground clearance for grass operation too. You will experiance ground effect when landing this plane has a huge flight envelope and no need for elevator to flaps mix cause there slotted flaps and will not cause ballooning
tHAT RUDDER HAS TO BE FIXED! I think Verizon took over Tower and there were some horrific stories about them laying people off and the remaining crew was humiliated when they wernt able to do the jobs of 10 people. I hope they fixed that
For me the perfect size is 1.3m to 1.4m. Needs to fit in my car in one piece while still being big enough to take FPV gear and cope with a windy world. Plus big wheels for rough grass. A category of RC plane that seems to be getting rarer.
I bought 2 of them for 129 dollars each on Tower Tuesdays. It was a steal. Always subscribe to Tower Hobbies. They always have the 30% - 40% off deals. If you are not a member you will never know. Also, check out their scratch and dent section. I got a brand new E-Flite P-51D Mustang 1.5m for 389 dollars scratch and dent. It was only missing instructions and the box was damaged. Other than that I got a 549.99 dollars 1.5m Mustang dirt cheap.
@@looneytunes47 Actually it was MD-Hobby Technology that created the plane and gave the rights to all the distributors. I love Hobby King but Hobby King is a cloning company. Everything they sell has already been made. Horizon and, Flyzone, Hobbyzone, and Tower do the same thing. That is why I miss companies like Hobbico and Hobby Lobby International as they used to have their planes created in the Czech Republic and nobody else had the planes. They were one-off beautiful foamies. GWS started the Foam plane craze back in the day. I miss that company too. Horizon Hobby killed off all the mom-and-pop shops and companies that had engineers who produced some of the best foam models. They already bought out Tower Hobbies and FMS will probably be next. They won't stop until they have full control of the products and distribution. This means they can raise the prices at any time and we have to eat the cost cause we can't get products anywhere else. Kind of a bummer. Oh well. We still get cool planes to fly.
I wonder if this will do crazy knife edge spins like the cirrus if you max out the rudder and elevator. I think the high aspect ratio wing and short fuselage will make it do crazy stuff
I love the size... Any chance you can go through the installation and setup of the electronics as a tutorial for us less experienced? Great Job!!! Thank You... :-)
I could! But I’m also an easy guy to get a hold of. Shoot me a email I’m always down to send personalized help or videos. I’ve even jumped on FaceTime to help people out lol !
Hey man! so i’ve been flying those 4ch foam warbirds from amazon for about a year now. i’ve gotten pretty good at it but i think im ready to move up to something more durable and nicer. any suggestions? Thanks!
I love these 1.1 & 1.2 m planes. Tower Hobbies is a distributor right? And Horizon a Manufacturer. So Tower Hobbies probably sells Horizon planes as a distributor. That’s my assumption anyways.

I just saw a full scale one of these at a local airport and these things are quiet and quick. They have a high stall speed too irl.

It's the HobbyZone Cessna 400 1.1m. It's a great flying plane.
Hobbyking was the original mold and then Tower re packaged it in blue

Since you said this might be horizon, does this plane have safe?
Reminds me of my HKING Cessna TTX
I love A-225 planes🇺🇦
Between this and the rv7🤔
Tower Hobbies is owned by Horizon so basically is the same thing 😅
I loved mine but careful with that nose gear and it is deceptively fast.
Horizon bought Tower Hobby.
It looks like a sr22 knockoff
lol I literally edited that out. I said while I was flying “does anyone think this looks like a SR20 or SR22” .. should have left that in 😂
😂
