U have no idea how confused I was with this section 1 day before the exam. I was searching up so many probability videos but it contained some things that I haven't done yet. Thank goodness I found your Playlist, it shows all the sections in order section by section. Thank you so much!
How u doin' Kevin? In 09:57 I think that shoulda be 10/200 because we're only concerned about L and G not Maths but if we say 50/200 that means we include Maths there Wonda if you may correct me if I'm Wrong 🙏
Hello :) This has always been an area that confuses learners. Here is another exxample. Please look at the numbers up in the video. P(LnM) = 60/200. Why 60 and not 20? Because they said LnM which is people who do L and M but it does not matter if they also do G. If they want you to find people who do L and M ONLY then they would say something like this: P(LnM and not G) or they would say P(LnM only). Here are two more questions for you: P(GnM) = 45/200 P(GnM and not L) = 5/200
Hey, so there are three X values right but two of them are negative and the one is positive, so one neg and one positive cancel out and there is one neg x value left. 130+15-x+X+5-x+60=200 ( the negative and positive x-values cancel out) -x=200-130-15-5-60 -x=-10 (the negative signs cancel out or divide the negative signs away) X=10
Hey. How is it that the probability of GnL is the addition of (10+40)/200 instead of just looking at the section for '10' only🤦🏽♂️. This is confusing man
Because the question doesn’t say geography and life sciences only, it just asks the probability that students do both whether they do maths with them together or not.

could somebody give this man a noble prize🙌
09-09-2024 revisiting to prepare for final exams
Kevin you're the best 🙌 thanks a lot❤
Thank you bro kev❤❤😭❤🤝🏾
How many grade 12 are here 4 days before trial exam 🎉❤
Plot twist: the negative five maths people died of this subject 💀
I don't blame them. Geography is hell
@@uviiiway 😭😭fr though

Can someone explain how he got his X as 10 and not 5, cause there's 2X's which would make it equal to 5 right???
remember that you're adding a positive x so one of the negative x will cancel out
@@k1r_tana @Kevinmathscience - I still don't get it? I also get x=5
@@k1r_tana Oh, I get it now! We are forgetting that there are 3 x values : 15-x ; 5-x and x by itself!!

130+15-x+X+5-x+60=200 ( the negative and positive x-values cancel out)
-x=200-130-15-5-60
-x=-10 (the negative signs cancel out or divide the negative signs away)
X=10
My boy x is 10
I wonder how many grade 12's are here too.😂😂
bruuh😢😢
Tnx kevin i needed tht 1
Why is my x= (-10)
I got -10 also😭
7:32 why use 130 .... why not use 75 or 50
can anyone explain why do u add the 40 to the 10 for the first venn diagram even though the question only asked for geography and life science?
Exactly what I am trying to figure out
They didn't say geo and life science only.
Thank you Kevin 😊 💓
Hey Kevin, i just want to understand why we add the X?
In the paper they sometimes wont give us the value, they will make us calculate X
Thank you so much kevin😊
Pov ur doing G12 and u revisited this video again 😂😂
😂
When you were solving for X why didn't you add the X for Life Science and Geography only?
Nvmd😏🖐️
Thank u so much u r best❤❤

Hello Kevin ummmm just wanted to ask if there could be two possible values for x
Hello, not for the venn diagram ones unless there was an x^2 somewhere which I have never seen before.
I believe the answer must be 5 and not 10🙂
Please recalculate cause I got my x as a 5
I recalculated and got x as 10 :)
same
How did you get that 10
By solving that equation. X=10
Isn't life science and geo intercection be 40-x??
the question says that x is the number of learners that take geo and ls only, if it did not specifically say only then it would be 40-x
but the obviously x would be a different value to what it is right now and the number of students taking geo and ls only will still be 10
Thank you❤
I am nothing withought you
I got x= - 30 :,) how do you get 10?
X is 10
X is 5 not 10 .
no ❤️
Sir x=5
The -5 left geography XD
Lol! :)
geography is so boring , it has negative learners💀
💯
Hey
Hey😂
How does x= 10
Kevin you're the best 🙌 thanks a lot❤
