Album comes out at midnight. The video you were watching at the end is something they put out right before the release. They call it an Intro. Most people watch it before the album drops, but honestly, watching it after listening to the album is smart too! So happy watching you discover Stray Kids! Welcome to Stayville!
@erzahikari3290 It's the midnight coming up in 5 hours EST. So technically tomorrow morning, but since I'm staying awake for it, I call it tonight. Lol
This is "comeback" season for Stray Kids (when a kpop group releases a new album/EP, it's called a comeback). They always give us a TON of awesome promotional content bf/during new releases, so there's things like teasers, behind-the-scenes, and interviews to watch (all of which are highly worth watching 😂). Stray kids are very driven, and bc they make their own music (3racha is made up of 3 of the members), they are continuously putting out new AMAZING stuff (i.e. this is their 3rd comeback since July😂). It's so great that you're finding them right now! There's a huge multilayered world of discovery ahead if you keep going ( i.e. each of their mvs has deep meaning, tons of easter eggs and lore, and next-level word play accross multiple languages). There's also hundreds of hours of behind-the-scenes, vlogs, variety show content, live performances, dance practices, etc). It can be a little overwhelming at first, but it's SO MUCH FUN. Tyty for another SKZ reaction!❤
3racha is their subunit composed by 3 of the members, bang chan or Cristopher if you prefer, he is the leader, Changbin the main rapper and Han the ace😅 he is the other main rapper but he is excelent at singing too.. they make almost all their music, like 99% they have a huge discography and its amazing
Thank you so much for reacting to Stray Kids! Please feel free to explore the universe of this group of 8 singers, 8 rappers and 8 super talented dancers. As you saw, the new CD "HOP" will be released on December 13th, come with us on this journey of good music created by Skz...welcome to Stayville!
They debuted in 2018 They are ages 23 - 27 Fandom name is Stay #2 Best Selling Artist in U.S 2023 #3 Globally Best Selling 2023 They are unique for several reasons... First, the leader Bang Chan was allowed by JYP to hand pick all of the members himself. They were not placed together in a traditional way, by the company. Second all of them are all arounders. They can all sing, rap, dance, produce and write. Third, they have written and produced about 99% of their music. Numbers of songs each member has copyrighted according to Korean Music Association (KOMCA) so far... Bang Chan 200 Changbin 172 Han 164 Hyunjin 27 Felix 23 I.N 21 Seungmin 20 Lee Know 17 While they can all do everything they do have 3 different subunits... 3Racha... Bang Chan, Chang Bin and Han which are the main producers and lyricists. They are always credited as 3Racha. 3Racha Achievements - Producers of Consecutive Five Time Billboard 200 #1 album debuts - only group in history - Hot 100 Hitmakers - 3rd, 9th, 11th Most Credited Idols on KOMCA - Produced Albums Sold Over 20 Million Copies - Japan Hot 100 Hitmakers - 100+ Weeks on Hot 100 Lyricists - 100+ Weeks On Hot 100 Composers - 2023 Asia Artist Awards Best Creator - Makers of Time Magazines 2020 #8 Best Song (their song Backdoor) Danceracha... Lee Know (in charge of leading dance practices), Felix and Hyunjin. They also contribute to the choreography. Vocalracha... Seungmin and I.N While the songs are hype they always have significant meaning to them. Their lyricism is always insane. Since they are so experimental their sound has its own genre and they have a very diverse discography. Example... Gods Menu, Back Door and Case 143 all completely different sounds.
Honestly I'd say listen to 5-10 of their other songs to see the hip hop vibe they're talking about that has been their signature. That way when they're talking about their new approach you can see how it changed. Or do the reverse, that works too!
❤❤ Love watching you discover Stray Kids. Good call to wait, they have built a huge discography and their recent 3 albums,(in 2024), reflect standing at the top after the climb. To truly appreciate the now, listen and “like” the new album and all 8+ videos as they drop, but jump down the rabbit hole with both feet and look at their older work. They are self produced, (3Racha =3 main producing sub-unit members, other members collaborate). 8 singers, 8 rappers, 8 dancers, 8 super talented artists deliver a varied catalog of songs with powerful messages. I suggest starting at the beginning with pre debut and debut songs. There is an almost overwhelming amount of content. Try running through the MV’s & dance practices. Then get your mind blown all over again with live performances.
For Lalalala, the hangul title means “Rock” but also happiness/pleasure, pronounced “lock”. And the English title is LaLaLaLa which is a vocalization of music. The 3 monsters looming over the kids are also represented in the kanji on the one wall for anger, sadness, joy (also happiness) As the kids overcome their fear and other emotions, each monster disintegrates as does the corresponding kanji character until the monsters are gone and only the character for happiness/rock is left. The action in the video is all happening in the kids imaginations which is why the camera keeps zeroing back to the kids’ eyes. Their minds are reimagining different movie scenes (bank heist in “the Dark Knight”, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mad Max, etc) as them fighting off their stage fright and anxiety. And there are 8 little kids performing like there are 8 Stray Kids members. At the end it’s just them victorious over their fears because they followed the song’s meaning, let go of all the negative stuff, let the music take them over, and found happiness in that moment. Maniac is about how we’re all different and that trying to “cosplay what society says is normal” looks weird and doesn’t fit, so just let go and be your authentic self. You’ll notice in the light shots everything looks “normal” including the end shot so back to the pretty package. But in the dark shots you have all the neon images pinging around and graffitied walls and Felix drilling a hole into your screen to connect to the lyric about loose screws. When Lee Know is using the drill, it’s in the daylight and he’s hanging up the photo on the wall and the diner is put back together again. I think with the brain, there’s a train (of thought) and all the things on their mind interspersed with the Changbin’s lyrics. As for the bird is about being caged in the so called normal world so when they show the “maniac” world the bird is free, but at the end when it’s the “normal” works, the bird is caged again. Right now I’m counting down to their comeback, HOP. I just became a STAY right before Ate dropped in July and have absolutely devoured as much of their music and content as I can since then. Their music and the way it blends numerous genres speaks to me because my musical tastes are varied like that. I do know they contribute to the MV concept and ideas. Pretty much all 8 of them can dance, sing, write songs, and rap. They were all chosen by Bang Chan (the leader) who had been a trainee for 7 years. That’s not usually the way it’s done as the company picks. But because he got to choose his group, he picked what he was looking for. There is a main rap line: changbin, Han, Hyunjin, and Felix. The main vocal line is Seungmin, I.N, Lee Know, and Bang Chan. Changbin and Han along with the leader, Bang Chan, make up the production subunit of 3Ratcha. The main 3 dancers (Dance Ratcha) are Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Felix. The Vocal Racha sub unit is Seungmin and I.N. But there are songs where all 8 of them sing too.

Welcome to the obsession that is Stray Kids!
All 8 members can sing, rap and dance.
They each have a solo song coming out and throughout December they'll release 8 music videos to go along with them. SO EXCITING
LALALALA was the song that was my first Stray Kids experience, then I listened to S-Class, but Maniac was the one that made me Stay😊❤
If you like the fashion, watch Get Lit.
