Robert, can you tell us some time about the up beat moment when you played the most amazing guitar solo EVER in Brian Eno's "Baby's on Fire". Thank you both for a lovely channel.
I knew about Robert working with Daryl Hall in the 70s (yes, I love Exposure and actually just commented about it on FB a few days ago...), but I did not know Toyah had worked with Katharine Hepburn around that same time period. Wow! There are not many actresses that I admire more than KH! Very cool that Toya is in the documentary.
Hi Toyah and Robert, I'v only just discovered your 'Planet' , yes I think it is, as I don't know what else to call it!, I am loving your beautiful dialog and 'Life Stuff' so real, such a beautiful breath of fresh air so to speak. I am now 66 years young! ,Tell Robert I have played Blues/|Rock/Soul, Guitar with a Les paul Custom 'Vintage Sunburst' Guitar and have done for 30 years+., the years go by so quickly, I'm in that 'trying to figure out what the f**** is going on' whilst, I see everyday everything seems to 'fall into place so perfectly when I think about it!' Lots of love Phil ..
How does Toyah look so young? May I ask HRT? Also so young at heart and huge energy. Maybe Toyah can do articles or uTube about diet and fitness mind and body. I think the love you have for each other is rare and superb and keeps you young and fit x
Toyah herself has talked about having a face lift. She talked very honestly at a ‘women in business’ conference about the pressures on women to stay looking young. She was amazing and it was a pleasure to meet her too.
@@DucatiJane996 I agree such pressure for women over 45. Not just her face but her body is fantastic so slim and firm just wondered what her routine and diet is and if she has had surgery ie breasts? She looks so youthful. What an incredible couple so suited and devoted.
@@sarahkennedy1481 It was a long time ago but I'm fairly certain she mentioned breast surgery too. But that said, I agree-she obviously looks after herself. I stumbled across these videos during lockdown and they have been an absolute joy to watch. Regarding their relationship-it is very obvious they have a lot of respect for each other and still seem to be totally in love after all these years.
Thankyou Toyah & Robert for saving that beautiful Elephant Hawk Moth & your tender removal of that piece of web on his wing, I have saved so many little lives throughout my lifes journey too! it is so rewarding knowing you have saved something, no matter how small to live another day or so at least. big heart to you both always 👍🏻💝💖
What a wealth of recollections. Thank you both for sharing them with us. The wild life moment was a wonderful addition. ["The Corn Is Green" is one of those well-rounded tales of life's formative moments and seizing one's opportunities; it began as a West End play before being told on film, and its strength is evident from the calibre of the actors that it attracted. The first film cast was led by Bette Davis, the second by Katherine Hepburn, so you can guess that being in either cast was quite an achievement.]
I don’t usually leave a comment but have to tell you both that I was in Cornwall a couple of weeks ago and walked the coast road to Boscastle where I stopped for a beer. I was eavesdropping on a conversation between some campers and one was saying he follows you on RUclips and had been to see Toyah live and she was fantastic. He forgot Robert’s name and was telling everyone in the bar he’s a fantastic musician and I wanted to shout it’s Robert Fripp from King Crimson but sadly I’m just too shy ☹️. Maybe if I’d had another beer I would have found the courage but I wouldn’t have made the journey back 😳.
Thank you for posting your memories of The Corn is Green(1978). I have this evening found and watched online the complete film. Incredibly moving, particularly as I know Ysbyty Ifan well. Diolch.
Katharine Hepburn's first film was " A Bill of Divorcement " ( 1932 ) based on a novel by Clemence Dane ----- I own one of Dane's own story collections from her own personal library...... As for Katharine she often said she never had any children cos she was kept too busy with movies ! Although not related to Audrey Hepburn they did share the same star sign -- Taurus Keep up the upbeat moments tho......
Wonderful upbeat moments as always. Love that you saved the moth. I'd have done the same. I also wanted to share a little upbeat moment of my own. A simple one, I was watering my patio plants as normal, when out from behind one of the pots ran this very sweet field mouse. The little mouse ran to safety away from where I was watering, but such a lovely thing to see It made my day after having also had a lovely day out at a local car show with a car that had belonged to a very dear friend who sadly passed away recently. We were gifted the car to keep in her memory and that's exactly what we are doing
I love David Sylvian! Hell yes ❤
You are just so wonderful, kind , thoughtful and creative love to you both ❤

So pleased the moth was saved 🥰 Such kindness
Just Love, What else can I say..
Elephant hawk moth. I believe this moth was the inspiration for the color palette for Roger Dean's "Osibisa" album cover painting.

I'm breathlessly awaiting Mr. Fripp's appearance in "From Darryls' House".
Robert, I kid you not I said the word 'awe' at the same time as you regarding Daryl Hall. Amazing talent, just like you!

I'm sorry, you guys need to bump up your VU levels, I can barely hear you in parts in a quiet room and everything on my PC is maxxed out.

Toyah you should market your secret to staying so young. You both have such amazing energy.💚
Being a nice caring person I think is key .
