- US Green Card: અમેરિકા (US)માં સત્તાધારી ડેમોક્રેટિક પાર્ટી (Democratic Party)એ બુધવારે સિટિઝનશિપ એક્ટ (Citizenship Act) રજુ કર્યો છે જેના કારણે દાયકાઓથી ગ્રીન કાર્ડ (Green Card)ની રાહ જોઈ રહેલા ઇમિગ્રન્ટ્સને (Immigrants) મોટો ફાયદો થવાનો છે. હાલમાં ગ્રીન કાર્ડ ઈશ્યૂ કરવા માટે દેશ મુજબ ક્વોટા (Quota System)નું પાલન કરવામાં આવે છે. પરંતુ સિટિઝનશિપ એક્ટ અમલમાં આવે ત્યાર પછી આ ક્વોટા નાબૂદ કરવામાં આવશે. એટલે કે કોઈ દેશના ઓછામાં ઓછા આટલા લોકોને ગ્રીન કાર્ડ આપવા તેવો કોઈ નિયમ નહીં રહે. આ ઉપરાંત H-1B વિઝા (H-1B Visa) સિસ્ટમમાં પણ ફેરફાર કરવામાં આવશે. તેના હેઠળ અમેરિકામાં વસતા ડોક્યુમેન્ટ વગરના તમામ 1.10 કરોડ ઇમિગ્રન્ટ્સને સિટિઝનશિપ આપવાની યોજના છે. તેમાં ડ્રીમર્સ, ટીપીએસ હોલ્ડર્સ અને કેટલાક ફાર્મ વર્કર્સ પણ સામેલ હશે.

Sir, your information is incorrect. The existing 7% Green Card cap is the Maximum amount of Green Cards that can be allotted to person born in individual country not the minimum. Indian citizens are the only citizens affected by this 7% limitation. Employment based GC priority dates confirm that.
