Toomaj Salehi

Toomaj Salehi is one of the most important Iranian rappers who still live in Iran. In September 2022, following the death of Mahsa Amini which triggered great, national-wide protests, Toomaj became one of the voices of the uprising.
On 30 October 2022, he was arrested by the regime’s security forces.
Recently, the prosecutor has confirmed that he is accused of being a “Mohareb”, which means an enemy of Islam. Consequently, Toomaj can get the death penalty. Today, douzaines of Iranians, among them many minors are in danger of being executed for the same accusation.
