    We love love our Swift, we have the different front layout and the mid bathroom with one door to bedroom which makes the bathroom even bigger. Had it for just over a year, no complaints.

    The 2023 swift SE 650L Grande has this same layout, however we have been told that the tv wall will only accept a 32" tv which I suppose is big enough when your on top of the tv as opposed to mounting the tv by the door as normal. Like you we love the layout and will shortly be taking delivery of it

    hha yes Mark that door is one of them things that you have to show off!!!!
    we looked at a alicanto at the show this week and it had the same fride in, our grandson was wow thats cool, i didnt know that the freezer door also did the same.
    now what would confuse people is that if you opened it from the left was one thing then to open it from the right it opened in to a different fridge lol
    the thing with all the storage is that it has to be thin air as the user payload is so low.
    all the best

    4:26 Sorry, had to laugh at this. This happens to our freezer compartment all the time, the catch doesn’t want to stay. Our small fridge freezer; the freezer door can slide out for defrosting. The clips don’t stay in. 😂😂
    I love the layout. We’ve got a 6 berth with fixed bunks. If I was to design it. I’d have the fixed bunks the width of the caravan at the back.

    Been fulltime in my 2017 Quattro FB for a couple of years . Its a great van . One of the best layouts. But want to upgrade to an 8ft wide .. I did flirt with some American 5th wheelers.. but they are UK impractical. This is top of my list.. which is German quality ... as in Hobby , LNC , Fendt .. without the high MTPLM nor that "stigma". I must get myself into gear to have a proper nose around one.

    I got the x 850 mid 2021 for my first caravan. We are a family of 4 and love it. Nothing else I've seen since has changed my mind which is a relief as we bought it after looking for about and hour 🤣 and specialty at the price I paid. 28k is a bargain looking at the prices now.

    Hi Mark, we recently looked at a L Shaped swift and an L Shaped Bailey Bologna and fell in love with the layout. We just need to decide Swift/Bailey and Middle/rear Bathroom. We like the open plan of the Bailey though

      Very much down to what you like and what feels better and which has been looked after the best. If both have good service history, we'll looked after then it's just down to the one you like the best. Sitting on the fence sorry, but it's very much down to which you like the best 👍

    Great video Mark.
    We have this caravan and we love it. It took several caravans in 10yrs but we have now found the perfect layout for us.
    It’s also very light on the nose which means we can travel with a lot of goodies in the locker just to make the 90kg needed. The L shape lounge is tight for 4 so what I would say is that this is the ultimate 2 birth
    Oh and we added air con so it is really a hotel room on wheels.

    Three months into bailey Brindisi ownership I completely agree with you about the extra space an extra 7 inches in width brings. But having moved from a Challenger Sport 524, bought new in 2014, I have decided that the perfect caravan would be a hybrid - a Swailey perhaps, or a Bift. I find myself saying one minute, "this bit is far better than Swift", and the next, "what on earth were Bailey even thinking?" Very happy overall though.
    My issue with the X850 is that my wife and I both like to recline full length in the dining room. The Bailey's "G" lounge allows us to do this in comfort but in the Eccles, one of us would have to recline on an uncomfortable-looking shelf or against the kitchen flap. In either case, ouch!

    Hi Mark, another nice video review conducted with your usual enthusiasm. A nice caravan but there seems to be at least three weird design decisions. The first is the rear bed which has the foot jammed up against the bathroom partition wall. It must be a real pig trying to change the bottom bedsheet if you are on your own and having to run through the bathroom to get to the other side of the bed. Surely a transverse bed would be easier. The second thing is the deletion of the nearside front window to make space for a large tv. It must feel like squinting round a corner if you have a nice pitch outlook which you can only benefit from by peering round the corner of the front window. Do you really need a giant telly when on holiday? And lastly the strange fridge door. What is the point of that. You didn't point out any benefit of that double opening door apart from the fun of opening and closing it from both sides repeatedly. The best part was when the freezer door self-destructed in your hand! Keep up the good work!

    The only thing I don’t like about the mid Wash room that if your using the toilet no one can get through to the bedroom. Thy need to try and put a separator in.

    I have been researching caravans online for many months now and thought I would ask the community here for their help. I want a large modern van with 8ft width, for a couple, not a family, underfloor heating, big Island bed, and generous shower space. Price up to 20.000 so obviously slightly older than 2020 models. Any ideas, recommendations, or what NOT to buy appreciated..

    I would worry about the 8ft part, as say you breakdown, not many ways of getting you home. It's lovely don't get me wrong, but some of the smaller roads in Wales would be a no go.

      Sorry to hear about your Lusso 2. I bought the original Lusso new in 2021 and it’s just had it’s first birthday. Never missed a beat and everything worked perfectly from day one (which I was surprised at!) and continues to do so, fingers crossed! High value, highly technical items can have teething problems, it all depends on how your dealer sorts things out. Good luck and hope you have as many great times as we’ve had in ours once you get the teething problems sorted.

    • @contractman2304
      @contractman2304 2 года назад

      By the way, when we picked our Lusso up last May we booked into a local site for a week simply to check out all of the systems and make sure every thing was working ok. If not, we could get it back to the dealer promptly to sort any issues out. Luckily, everything worked fine so we were then able to take it further afield. I believe it is wise to do this first time out so things can be dealt with promptly. Our dealer (Campbells) was great and was happy to take it back in on a minutes notice to sort out any faults should they have occurred.

    Well you buy it. Too wide too long too heavy too expensive. Now my 2015 Coachman VIP 565/4 7’7” wide good build got all you need and towable round Devon roads. Good job we are all different. My advice sell it money in bank better than caravan on drive.

    Don't like that solid wall at the front, and that fridge is already broken with it's flashy doors. I'll stick with my Adria Tiber. Proper door keeping the toilet out of sight and access all round the bed.

    • @simonissott7506
      @simonissott7506 2 года назад +1

      We’ve had one for 2 years and the fridge is rock solid. Previously owned an Adora and that was great 2. Miles more space in the 850 over the Tiber which was my 2nd choice. Being able to have a 50” TV was the deal breaker
