BN @East Winona,WI-EB Doublestack with LMX B39-8E/WB mixed freight with SD40-2 and GP9 1426

Some late afternoon action at East Winona back in fall,1994.Run of the mill power back then.Nice freshly painted white-face SD40-2(7815),and a GP9 also supplying power.Train stopped to do a set-out for WC(ex-GBW).

If it was 1992, it was still the GB&W. WC didn't take over until august 1993.

This is fun to watch! Miss seeing that green. Was there a road to this spot back then or did you have a boat?

We could drive back there in those days,in fact we spent 3 days there back in the early 90s.No one said boo in those days.Could also park on a wide area on road and walk across tracks to ice fish.
