Battles are another thing. In stalker 2 it is impossible to use strategy at the moment. In gamma if I want to get into a base I have to first use my binoculars and observe the place from distance, decided what I am going to do. If I want to sneak in then I definitely have to check the best entrance, check the number of personal, check their patrol route and so on. On the other hand if I am well armed and have good armor I can decide to pick a fight with them depending on what faction I am attacking. Or I can decide to lure them out if they are close enough to another base whom they may have a hostile relationship with. In Stalker 2 you can't make plans right now because enemies are just going to appear behind you even after you cleared the base
Stalker 2 has just came out so people are still getting used to it, plpl have had gamma for years, so they remember a lot more good experiences and moments from that game, and they understand gamma a lot more then stalker 2, so we just gotta wait for plpl to adjust to this new game and for the few bugs to be fixed right up. When the game was first released it was… rather buggy and that was the first impression that people have gotten for this game, and they have not looked closely since then, missing out on improvements. The quote “you cant shape the game around you to your desires, the game shapes you or breaks you” - a reviewer for this game, shows how some people don’t understand or enjoy the game as it not yet has any mods to shape it more to their liking (and because the cant magically wisk away the bugs). Some people can be more flexible then others I remember when an update was soon coming to a game and people were enraged when they saw it, as it seemed small and pointless, but as development went on and more stuff and context was put in, people started to love it. Ofc this is just my POV
they're gonna get used to S2 with mods coming out, making it more like Gamma. Also modders who looked at the files said A Life is there but buggy, probably because S2 is one giant map instead of sections
I completely agree with you! Time will bring everyone together under Stalker 2, people reject it now because it isn't Gamma 2 but there will be a middle ground. Either way Stalker 2 is a massive upgrade and I'm enjoying every minute of it, I'm really happy that you took the time to comment on my videos and I enjoy reading them each time. Here's to hoping Stalker 2 matures into a great game :)
So my point is that thedavs of Stalker 2 tried to implement systems from modpacks and also do their own things but many of these things are half baked. I know that these systems will find thei way into stalker 2 eventually by moders or maybe by the devs but right now it is a downgrade for Gamma(or other modpacks) fans.
Yep. Stalker 2 is a downgrade in many aspects. Also it is an upgrade at the same time. Here is the weapon degredation system for example. I think the repair cost would be fine with the proper impomentation. So I should be able to do maintenance and minimal repairs. If I don't take care of my weapon then I take it to a Technician who repairs it for the amount of money they are asking now. So the consequences of me not taking care of my weapon is that i have to pay a lot to get it repaired.
I completely agree, it costs way too much for repairs and the damage system is extreme. I read in GSC dev blogs that they are going to be changing the economy surrounding technicians so hopefully if we don't see a total balance it will at least not cost an arm and a leg to repair your gear!
Stalker 2 now is not upgrade from gamma i think but stalker 2 háve potential and wait when stalker 2 get like gamma or anomaly mod it Will bé goat. Stalker 2 what has now what gamma not is huge world and photorealistic visuals thx to unreal engine with amazing soundefects and lighting. Seriously i play stalker 2 on medium details and it only tiny step to be realistick graphic

They need to give some kind of message every time we cross 'state lines'.
Having a little pop-up that tells you when you've entered a new area would be appreciated
