This is a cover of Finlandia which was an orchestra piece written in years 1899-1900 by a Finnish guy called Jean Sibelius. Here's the link to the respective part in the whole piece: ruclips.net/video/F5zg_af9b8c/видео.htmlsi=vjI8wT2a2pigEkLo&t=366
I hope the Russians (in Finnish ryssät) understand the irony of this song being the intro of the gig. The whole meaning of this song is to honor the fact that we Finns will always fight for our independency and for not to be Russians. We will never forget the happenings during 1939-1944 between Finland and Russia, when we were attacked by the Soviet. At the same time we don't judge the neutral Russians either; it wasn't so much easier to resist Stalin than become a victim of Simo Häyhä or the rest of the Finnish soldiers (in other words the whole people). We just want to live in peace without anyone threathening us from the east. I really hope you can appreciate this. Ok, we know that the Swedes/Norwegians /or Nato will not have balls to try it from the west :) I mean, how many wars have you won during the last centuries?
I think most of us just like this music. I learned history of this composition only after I uploaded this video and read some comments. As far as I know they play it not only in Russia. Also it's good we are in peace and I really appreciate that you don't think of us as bad people
I'll tell you a little secret, but "neutral Russians" in this case are almost everything, because everyone is indifferent to Finland, here no one remembers 39-44 in a similar vein, especially the younger generation. If only state officials can encroach on your independence (but this does not depend on the country, they are the same everywhere), Population, fortunately, you do not care, most of them have not lived in the past for a long time, I advise you to do the same.
Maybe they know ;) Maybe they know they are cheering for a people who, against the odds, defended their sovereignty, and just want to live happy and at peace for the rest of eternity. What about you? Still thinking of "getting back" Karelia? Still scheming and hoping and preparing for when the opportunity comes and you can drive tanks, fly planes, load magazines into rifles and march westward?
Hate see somebody talking about Finns and their desire to even go to war for their independency. Like why go to war? That’s just stupid. I want to think good about our neighbors The Russians. There is absolutely no reason for a war. God is Good ❤❤❤
This warms my hearth. Finlandia hymn in moscow.
Paras paikka kotimaan jälkeen missä voi esittää finlandia hymnin. :-)
Ehdottomasti. Hyvää joulukuun kuudetta.
And again we understand what we have, what we were fighting for years 1939-45.Thank you, my father and grand pa ! ♡♡
Playing this song in Moscow in 2012!?!
That must be the irony of the ages!
Imagine playing Finlandia in Moscow in 2023!!! Would be earth shattering...
@@kristianmaahi8353 Okay... You hav e a massive point there.

One of the best place to sound Finlandia. Look at the words...
Indeed.
Saw you yesterday in Munich, it was a fantastic show! I hope Floor gets well soon. And happy Independence Day to all of Finland! Terveisiä Saksasta!
Russian audience cheering a song composed in protest against Russian occupation. How appropriate.
+nya~ how did you conclude it's against Russian occupation?
+Yoel Zeev Feuermann en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finlandia
But isn't that such a beautiful way to show that history is in the history and our father's sins are not ours? :)
Well modern Russians arent guilty for anything, peace treatys are done ect.. so why not. They played it in every country in that tour, too
Because we are also against the Russian occupation of Finland.
One of the best version. Very nice sound on this video. Thanks (y) :)
