Amazing!! They're getting paid around $35-$40 an hour to do all of that. My hats off to them for being brave!!! Thank you

no ones jealous of San Francisco anymore . I like movies with old time San Fran like Dirty Harry, but believe me when I tell you Ms London Breed sees shit EVERYWHERE. She never saw shit on the ground when she was a kid. Cities are supposed to have gotten better since the 80s , not worse.

Damn, how many people can say they walked to the top of the bridge? I can only imagine the difference if it was daytime.

Was there the first night they turned then on! Have a light dedicated as well. So gorgeous. The lights should move along with the flow of traffic. At least they used to

It’s 2024 right now and they still need $1 million worth of donations to bring back the lights and install the lights on both sides of the bridge. It will be introduced as Bay Lights 360!

"...can only be seen from the city Itself??" WHAT the...?? because, *nooooooo,* the Bay Bridge lights can be seen from several different locations around the Bay Area, not only from San Francisco.🙄

You have to pay a toll only if you're driving from east to west on the Bay Bridge.

But we have to pay for electricity when it should be free as it is here,, and WATER too like it is at the parks, schools, jails etc.°° Cause the water and energy we use don't go away, it just gets recycled threw earth and can always have endless amounts, they call always distill the ocean if needed and add the minerals etc. That we need--_--

Not sure how much it was to build and is to operate it but it is very COOL.
btw Smithsonian, you shouldn't hire 12 year olds to write for you. It's bad for your image don't you know? "One slip and they could end up dangling by a THREAD.."

I actually liked that! But then again, I also liked the line in the Venom movie; "like a turd, in the wind." Soooo 🤷🏾‍♂️ haha.

I'm pretty sure it is because they are attached to the walkway by a wire. It mentions they have to unclip then reclip at every new section. So if they fall, their only security is that wire.

Because LEDs use a tiny amount of electricity, it's surprisingly cheap to light the bridge.
It's all paid for by private (wealthy) citizens, too.
