I really hope we get to see more characters like Penny (She's in the opening and we got a cameo of her), Arven, Keiren, Carmine, the BB elete four, Clide, the Team Star admins, and The AI professors and the area zero plots, although Liko already has Terapagos so they might not do that one
That includes more on Paldea Gym Leaders and Elite Four’s strengths on how powerful they are. Poppy was probably new as an Elite Four and is still learning. The things we’ve been seeing are mostly focused on Liko Roy and Dot training to use Terestral Phenomenon to prepare for The Explorers and Black Rayquaza. Wish that Horizons would hold a big tournament involving the top trainers in Paldea or regions so we can see more power from Rika, Poppy, Larry, and Hassel.

I'd probably say it could happen at least if at least possible if the main character cast was to show they al have at least 3 pokemon minimum as to allows for more plausible options in variety - and also maybe not include Sango in participating as she just might Explode again
You can Liko, Roy and Dot's doppelgangers in the background in this episode. They're also students of Naranja Academy. I think this is also the first time we see shrinked pokeballs in years.
Albeit I'm surprised the doppelgangers are there for this activity because they said they never even made it in participating in their basic tests though & just ran back home to the academy
In Dot's battle, I thought it wasn't that bad & it made sense how the battle played out: most of Dot's team took damage from only Sandstorm, Rock Smash, Brick Break, & Rock Slide (1st half of those moves do deal too much damage) & with Bellibolt kind of a tank, it made sense it was able to tough through & use Quaxly-charged Zap Cannon to Copperajah, Who Was the main one of Poppy's pokemon that kept taking all the damage (albeit overall it was mainly Iono's win than Dot's). For Roy's battle, it really was one-sided as most of it ended up with him powering up Baxcalibur to Glaive Rush a Double KO. - As for Sango's, it was declared that she Lost her battle as the rule was the 1st pokemon knocked out either side loses, and Glalie knocked itself out First with Self-Destruct to knock out everyone else. - Onyx I sorta get why he lost: Onyx is a Soldier-Warrior. He wasn't going to sacrifice/let Tulip (his tag partner/backup~subordinate) be defeated so he & Garganacl took the hit for her which made them lose. If Onyx hadn't, he'd feel like it'd be disgraceful to him. He really is a Soldier with a Warrior's Honor & Pride. He might be my favorite Explorer > At least now that we know that as long as if you defeat one pokemon on either side it counts as the winner of the match & the pokemon used by both sides for next episode's battle of Liko & Katy VS Rika as: {Floragato & Lokix VS Clodsire & Dugtrio} that beating Rika's Ace Clodsire would indeed be something if Liko could beat it, but if not beating Dugtrio on the other hand might be possibly plausible (to be honest, I would've thought Rika would have chosen to fight with her Closire be either Donphan [to make up for Clodsire's slow mobility]) or Camerupt [being part Fire would Really Challenge both Liko & Katy]

Is it bad to say I don’t like how the writers handle Roy because I feel like Roy can’t catch a break of nonstop loses he’s like 1-25 the only win against his gym leader like I understand it’s an elite 4 and I believe Roy should not beat a elite four right now but Roy cant stop losing and he doesn’t even feel like he’s grown compared to liko and dot and dot is not even the dual protagonist it’s freaking Roy but he feels like he’s not wanted in this series it’s like they just made his character to fill up room for the cast
I sometimes wonder if the writers only wanted/planned Liko to be the protagonist (and it easily shows) but the higher-ups feared they'd alienate the male audience who might find a girl being the sole lead to "icky" especially following up from Ash hence they put Roy in there/label him a dual protagonist.
@@730Flare to me it’s ok and I actually like the Pokemon series to have a more female lead it’s just that why are they disrespecting Roy this bad like he has one realistic win under his belt and almost all the Roy focused episodes always have no impact or the spotlight gets stollen by something Else like to me they just need to make a Roy redemption arc or give him his own show because so many characters have just outshined him so much Dot,Anne,friede, hell the mechanic girl had a better focused episode on her than Roy and every time Roy loses he just smiles and learns nothing by saying some bs again like “oh I get it this is how you battle” like how many times is he gonna say that
@@justdavid1712 Honestly it'd be awesome to Finally have a Prominent Strong Battle-Oriented Female Protagonist Trainer!!! The closest we've had to one of those of the main casts to be this "type" that I can think of is technically Misty & Iris (as the Sole main battling portion; I would also technically count May & Dawn too due to Contest Battles being a thing; but those have "handicaps" to the battles like contest aesthetics taken into account & the timer)
