Did my first ever fork seal replacement today all i needed was a regular allen to crack the bottom bolt with with a crescent wrench handle for leverage. And 1 1/2" pvc fit the 39mm forks perfectly to drive the bushibg in, put the old seal over top of the new one to drive in the seal. Time consuming but easy
Ik it’s been three years but you didn’t have any trouble tightening the damper rod back in? Or does the spring apply enough pressure to not allow it spin?

Your instructions are exactly the same as my Haynes manual. Even putting top cap on to put pressure on spring.
