As the defensive anchor its my job to bring the energy and test the boundaries of the whistles that game because every game is different. No one on that wolves team was the engine and instead of pushing boundaries just started shrinking and whining at the whistles. Wolves gotta change that next game.

Josh Giddey has played 41 minutes, shot 1-8 from three, and contributed 19 total points. 41 minutes over 3 games is over a quarter each game. Now imagine, for a quarter of the game, your defensive scheme can play around someone who can't shoot, while your star (Shai) primarily drives to the rim and gets most of his points within the perimeter. That means you have someone who offensively can't help you score when Shai gets doubled (from the defender who has left Giddey open), and that Shai driving is just worse because he'll draw more defenders and the open 'shooter' can't shoot. Giddey hasn't recorded a single positive +/- stat in this series. -1, -20, -7. Meaning during Giddey's minutes, the Thunder have been outscored. That's -7 in their Game 1 win. -20 in their 9 point loss in Game 2, and -1 in Game 3, which was a 4 point loss.

Dude is a 6’10 rim runner who’s only good at passing and rebounding Which doesn’t make up for the fact he’s a terrible shooter, can’t create his own shot, a bad defender, and has poor athleticism

If I had to pick, I’d probably have Aaron Wiggins starting over Giddey. He’s an excellent shooter like Joe and Cason Wallace but he’s also an excellent cutter, very effective at at putting the ball on the floor, and is a great finisher around the basket
I hope Josh gets traded to a team where his impact will be greater than at OKC. It is obvious that the scrutiny on Josh is much greater than any other player on the roster.

They’re not playing into the idea that TJ is a playoff rider. This is normal TJ! Nobody but Pacers fans know it. Every fan base thinks he only plays good against them.

I remember telling people when Giddey was drafted that I wasn’t sold on him till he could learn how to shoot the 3, he started to slowly earn my trust 2 season ago, and then he regressed last season topping it off with all those wide open bricks he threw up in the playoffs, and I lost all hope for him ever being an all star. Dude is a 6’10 rim runner who’s only good at passing and rebounding
Which doesn’t make up for the fact he’s a terrible shooter, can’t create his own shot, a bad defender, and has poor athleticism

i would say that’s honestly just been for the playoffs because he’s specifically analyzing the games after they happen. you gotta recite stats and such to give an analysis and feel for a game. his other content has only improved imo, especially the main channel vids (even tho they take longer now)

Think it's also worth mentioning how disappointing Gordon Hayward has been for OKC. Thought he could be a really solid 15 ppg wing who can shoot and attack off the catch, but he's pretty much been invisible since he got to OKC
If I had to pick, I’d probably have Aaron Wiggins starting over Giddey. He’s an excellent shooter like Joe and Cason Wallace but he’s also an excellent cutter, very effective at at putting the ball on the floor, and is a great finisher around the basket
I hope OKC loses. The fake 1 seed and their free throw merchant of an MVP, plus their line backing flopper, dortures my eyes.

I hope Josh gets traded to a team where his impact will be greater than at OKC. It is obvious that the scrutiny on Josh is much greater than any other player on the roster.
