- During the 3rd day at Half Century of Progress Show 2023 in Rantoul, Illinois we filmed these corn pickers in the morning on Saturday. More videos from the corn pickers will come later on, we got a lot of video from day 1 and 2 at the show. And looking forward for day 4 tomorrow Sunday.
Coming from Denmark in Europe to visit the show, it is amazing to see these corn pickers in action - we've never seen machines like this.

Damn those guys are driving damn fast
The new combines are amazing, but my first love will always be this type of farming! Great video!
Same here!
Great footage y'all! I think some of them were trying to see how fast they could go, lol!
I can remember, I must have been 6 or 7(were talking 1953/54), we had an M mounted picker. It’s home was a concrete pad in the back of our small implement shed. It was in the back of the shed. No electricity. Dark. And it’d take my Dad and the hired man about a day to get the picker mounted. And then they’d have to mount the elevator! I don’t see how they could get it done. Braille, I guess. It’d take them several hours just getting the tractor lined up just right? And it’d be hot! Not fan. Man, glad I was born little later………
**PS. Ours never caught fire, tho. That’s was a big plus!
Another great video. The Leyland model 344 tractor pulling the picker-silage chopper is fantastic! I never knew that sort of combination existed. Who produced those units?
As far as I know that was made by Case
Thanks, @@burrridgefarms. I was thinking with the orange it was an AC, but you've made a very solid Case. By the way, Dirt, Grain & Steel captured another close drive-by of this train in one of his videos.
Looks like 1 gear too fast???🚜
Bel video. 🌽🚜👍👍
I was the one driving the C with the 1 row mounted picker
That was for sure a great looking machine
You notice how the mounted pickers qere pushing the rows farther apart? That's because they were designed for 36 inch rows, but this field is planted at 30 inches.
Ahh okay, thanks for the info! Great to see the pickers in action
Ved du hvad de bruger de hele kolber til
Going that fast will lose some corn.
wow what a turnout. looks to almost TWICE as many as 2021
