    Thank you for another great video! I just finished building my track car (Miata NB) and going to get back to track racing - funny enough the track I’m going to is called Harris Hill, at San Macros, TX. I haven’t watched RUclips for a while, and just saw your another reply about the swag. I’m going to send you some video sharing my build to you through email, your content really has helped and inspired me A LOT during the process of building this car!

    I need help, searching every day with no luck.
    Is a competition license needed for regional events “I believe regional is the most entry level of spec Miata racing”
    I don’t plan to race/travel anywhere besides my region, nor do I plan to race any big time events. I just want to race with the spec Miata boys at my local tracks.
    Also is there any prize money for regional events, or is it depended on location and event specifics.
    Plan to go scca route. Here in New Orleans

    Hey AL, I Have been having a hard time deciding which place to get My racing lisence from, Nasa or scca, eveyone tells me good things about both, I'm here in LA and willing to travel anywhere in cali for racing, I know scca is faster and easier to get but I hear alot of good things about nasa

    • @aracing
      @aracing  Год назад

      You are correct, SCCA is way faster. Once you have a SCCA lic. you can transfer it over to NASA easy.

      @@aracing okay that sounds great, if I start in scca for roughly a year the car I buy on the next few months just has to have a new log book for scca or are the logbook the same for scca and nasa

    In your words if you know, could you tell me the procedure I would need to do for racing school

    • @aracing

      Well contact the region SCCA you live in and they can walk you through the steps.

      NASA wants you to come up through their HPDE system before they'll evaluate you for a comp license. SCCA doesn't require prior experience, but everybody in my driver school had at least done some track days prior to the school.
      These are good places to start:

      @@scottdunlap8865 yeah I have done like 10 track days and alot of autocrosses, I know about the hpde and would do it but maybe it's best to do scca into nasa

      @@christianhoagland4789 that's what I did, just finished SCCA school a few months ago, after doing lots of track days through NASA. I liked that SCCA has a dedicated school weekend, whereas NASA seemed less structured to me.
