The truth is,this MIG-29 'Fulcrum',still is one badass fighter-jet that were the one that had in fact set-off the west to scramble to build some very maneuverable jets.I'll say this example being one of four most maneuverable, the three others are Su-30 MKI/M,Rafale & Gripen. On buying anything of maybe the likes of Rafales or even the legendary F-15Es to replace the Migs,is surely a must, but the RMAF shud maybe continue to keep them all in functional-tip-top condition, only have them placed in storage after their service (not service life, here meant) expires & if we're somehow embroiled in any possible future conflict events & found to fall short of Air Defense asset,we can then reactivate them to add to that shortfall. Don't!,Never go dumping these remarkable-magnificent jets, into the sea floor for artificial reefs creation, howevr if any item that needs dumping, that shud got to those crappy Russian made refurbished former T-72 MBTs & yeah, I'm aware, I know, tnk U,tanks duzn't have anything to do with the Air Force, they're assets belonging to the Army.
the problem for MIG 29n is it was too Smokey , in dogfight a Smokey aircraft will be nearly just like a sitting duck , it is good to continue the MIG 29n service in RMAF as malaysian pilot capable to fly it aggressively , but the engine smoke from MIG 29n should be settled out
These MiGs exhaust is really a sight to behold... Just like their squadron name... the 'SMOKEY' Bandits...
they always deliver entertainment to the crowds!!!
I gunna go to malaysia soon ..
Superb Malaysian RMAF Pilot
