    When we replaced our Model S by a new one just over a year ago we were not told the standard connectivity wouldn't provide real time traffic information anymore. All the multi media is nice to have f.e. when charging but not a necessity for traveling and at that time you can use your hotspot, so no additional (double) cost. The live traffic information is available in any basic, loose or build in GPS/Satnav. So one can expect the navigation system of a high end EV as Tesla, would provide it standard as well, instead of charging 10 bucks a month, as much as a subscription for a mobile phone (in Belgium). It would not be a huge data usage since it would only be active when navigation (on autopilot) is in use. @Elon An idea for a coming update?

    • @aldozilli1293
      @aldozilli1293 3 года назад +2

      Firstly, Elon won't have read your comment. Secondly, he is quite happy with this subscription because he wants more money. Personally I won't be buying Tesla next time as other car makers are catching up and the cars themselves are of better quality. If Elon wants to stay competitive he will need to cut out things like 9.99 subscriptions.

    Tesla, despite all it's sophistication, has the worst infotainment of any car that's not a base model in the entire auto industry. The lack of CarPlay even for music playback is not only embarrassing, but also dangerous for the driver. Not as dangerous as Autopilot... but close. Shame on the company for being so absolutely shitty.

I had sports cars before but I have two kids and I'm off in the summer so a sports car never got out of the driveway because I'd have to leave a kid under 10 at home unattended. The Model 3 P is a fun car and the acceleration makes my kids laugh. The running costs are basically zero, the insurance is cheap, and it's gone up 10k in value since I bought it. Tough to complain though it has a couple minor cosmetic issues. Mostly some errant clearcoat on the driver's door and the panel gap around the trundled looks like a Saturn engineer made it. As a touring musician (well not currently), I could about live in that car for free for two years. It has been about flawless thus far and I do use the FSD option quite a bit here in Southern CA. I was not even considering a Tesla at the time when free lifetime charging was a given so the two years for me is really appreciated.
