I dont think he has any control. But! My theory for why the code attacked that im *very* surprised no ones said yet is Fred!!! Tubbo is literally trying to date a federation worker, of course the thing thats against the federation is going to target him!! I have a feeling that the codes aren't going for eggs anymore but thats just a thought that hinges on the fact that the rebellion isnt going for the eggs and if the codes are with the rebellion. Which i personally think its like a "the enemy of my enemy is a friend" thing!! The codes dont work *with* anyone, they're their own group. And we know that the Codes have the mind to go after specific people/players as well! Seen with q!Cellbit and i believe q!Maximus as well.

As seen with the one code that Etoiles saved: It exploded into black concrete and code blocks. The code was also originally captured by the Federation *because* it was acting weird.
I think this is to warn all the eggs that he have not left and the new eggs new a protective place, because that's the only thing that work against the code

at one point during Tubbo's Fred Chronicles, the sky started pouring as soon as he was upset. If I had a nickel everytime tubbo affects the weather in the qsmp, I'd have 2 nickels. It's not a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

She can go out in the rain, the reason she couldn't go out during that time is because usually when the code monster appears, rain starts immediately and tubbo wasn't sure if the code monster was gone or not since it was still raining and he was trying to keep sunny safe.

SPOILER FOR ETOILES LORE : Recently, the Resistance tell him that The Codes was an apart team, and the Resistance and Codes make an alliance and stop attacking eggs who was their targets. But, Codes began to go crazy and Resistances (so all of the streamers in it) start to investigate about what happen. If i can add a theory, i think it's link to Black Concrete, maybe it's what corrupted Codes and cause the rampage !

I think this attack is a warning to Tubbo for being more serious on the protection of Sunny because both of them don't stay equipped with armors
