It's so weird coz I felt sad that each one of the inmates are slowly getting release from the prison. Normally, we feel happy for them to be release reunited with their loved ones and community, but for some reason it does the opposite. It's just sad to see the camaraderie and brotherhood of the inmates will end. Also, the good relation between the inmates and the prison guards. Prison Playbook is a must see drama.
Je Hyeok is the responsible dumb brother. Kaist, a good hearted criminal. Looney, cute trouble maker, you can't stay mad at him for long. Captain yoo cold on the outside, but he's the best. Kim min chul, the teddy bear daddy.
Akinkunmi Mary Temitope I liked how you described min-chul. The first time I saw him I thought he was a bad guy (like what looney said. lol) but he's like the big brother in their group.
the writer shows the real life about drug addicts like looney..they need a great support system to stop using drugs..looney stop using drugs while living in the cell, and handled it very well because his cellmates are very supportive..looney's family should not listen to him, and waited at the restaurant..
That one scene where looney’s mother cried I didn’t feel a single bit sorry for her, they had been bad parents since he was little, even his cell mates (other criminals) gave him more affection and support which is just sad ☹️
Kaist and looney are the funniest, captain yoo and je hyeok are the cutest, min chul and dr.ko are the nicest, jailbird is MY FAV ❤❤ love these prisoners 😂
I never thought that I would be attached to the cast so much. I really love Captain Yoo so much hahaha he was so cold at first but started to be so charming throughout the show. I love how him and Looney always fight. But obviously, they still care for each other. So happy that he get the right justice. His brother and the Lawyer never stop in seeking for the truth. Captain Yoo is so lucky to have them. Looney is just so cute hahaha he's like the baby of the show. No one could resist him. Kaist is just so naughty yet hilarious haha. Min cheol is really the father figure. He have great patience except when Looney and Captain Yoo started to tease him. Dr. Koh is really calm and smart, he always do good decisions among the group. No one mentioned but I'm so happy that Dolbami/Crony became a good person and that he belong to the same cell with them. He was really treated as a friend or prisoner mate and it was his first time to encountered it. He deserved it. Happy, that kid convict was finally out hehehe and working with Jae Hyuk. Jae Hyuk loves him. I'm also happy for Jean, he really visited Ming cheol and promised to build a home for them. Most of the correctional officers are amazing. Like Ltn. Paeng, he curses alot but deep inside he loves all the prisoners even though they did bad things in their past life, a very soft person. Officer Song also, he really fall in love with Captain Yoo after he saved him hehe. He now have a friend!! Sometimes I couldn't understand Warden Na, but then I realized that his just really committed to his job. He's perfectionist and systematic and there are really people like him in the working place. Officer Junho and Jae Hyuk's friendship are really amazing. Love the characters amd story. I just really love it.
I speak no Korean but I feel like all Shin PD dramas have more natural speech than other Kdramas, especially how they break the dialogue sentences. It feels like that's how people should speak in real life.
I really feel like Looney, despite knowing the consequences, purposely picked up fight with Kaist and Captain Yoo because unlike others, they would retaliate and those petty fights kept his mind off from his addiction.
that too but there is a thing about withdrawal syndrome. i have a friend who had and i swear i wanted to kill him, cuz he was annoyed by everything and ennoyed us for being annoyed.
awesome drama.........hats off to the writer,director and all the cast members. an excellent amalgamation of romance,comedy and tearjerking storyline. My favourite drama of 2017. looking forward to a second season with different storyline

This the best drama...I was too fed up of romcoms...this is truly perfect ...je hyeok is dumb but interesting..kaist beating looney is my ever favorite, and looney is such a mood lifter.. min chulsi is such a sweet person...Dr. ko is a law maniac and a good person..and My favorite Captaon Yoo (Jung hae in) He is truly best,how can he look great from every angle?? And his fights with looney is always a treat to watch...and finally joon is that freimd who u can live and die for, their friendship gave some major nest freinds goals... I love this drama..totally
Lee Kyu Hyung (Looney) really shocked me in this drama. I couldn’t believe it was him, I’m so used to seeing him play more serious or bad guy roles. He was so cute and adorable here that even when I see him act as a bad guy in other dramas now, I smile because he’s just a cute baby in my eyes. I STAN A VERSATILE ACTOR!!!👏🏾🙌🏾👏🏾🙌🏾

I watched Doctor John last year and Prison Playbook this quarantine. I just witnessed how Lee Kyu Hyung’s (Looney) superb acting. His roles in these two dramas are very different and he nailed it! Hands down, I was so annoyed at him in Doctor John but now, I love him as looneyyyy
One of the best Drama,initially I watched it for uri kang leader but I fell in love with the script and direction. 😊loony and devil captain's bickering were the best😂
I just watched this series and easily became my favorite. The stories are heart warming and the cast are hilarious, the acting is so immaculate since most of them are theater actors. THIS IS REALLY A MUST WATCH KDRAMA
It's okay if you do not give us season 2 but please give us special episodes. Like show us what happened to them, there are so many things left opened.
I loved the concept that half of the characters are bailed out and happy and half of them are still struggling. That is prison life for you. I loved the dialogue when kang said"everyone said they will come back and noone ever came" and he felt the emotion when van came to see him. He got his hopes from there.
i watched prison playbook back in 2020 when i was really stressed out because of the pandemic . i didn't put a lot of thought into it, saw it on netflix one day and decided to watch because it has the same director with reply series. i wasn't expecting anything but it easily became one of my favorites. 2 years later, i'm now rewatching it. prison playbook thank you for bringing me so much comfort. you will forever be dear in my heart.
i just finished watching this drama in the year 2020 and i regret not watching it earlier... it's my fave kdrama now along with reply 1988 and hospital playlist... shin pdnim is the best.. i like his works so much 😭 idk but im into reality dramas these days and i feel some satisfaction when im watching these dramas.
The characters in this drama are like no other. I especially grew fond of crony, I'm was so happy when they welcomed him into this squad and treated him like a human. He has this innocence to him I can't explain

I was wondering why it feels so much like Reply 1988 but it's a different story. Only to find out this is directed & written by the same duo. I laughed and cried for them and with them. I really wish there was a second season focusing on Jung Woo's retrial, Han Yang's redemption, & Dong Ho's transformation as his own person.

This is definitely one of the best kdramas ever ... yeah true it was kinda boring in the first episodes, also the episodes are too long but it still interesting . I haven't watched many dramas this year but I may say it is the best drama of 2018 (or maybe one of the best dramas of 2018) . it was simple but warm, touching and funny . To be honest.. Captain ChanMyung of Hotel del Luna brought me here.. I was curious about some series of him. He was played here the young male lead (officer) and I wasn’t expected that the young baseball player here is the one who played also in Hotel del Luna which I like also. I really didn’t expect that this series makes me laugh and cry so badly. I really love the story and all the prisoners characters esp alooney.. kaist.. Captain Yoo and the jailbird.
Recently I watched Hospital playlist season 2 and when I saw Jung Kyung Ho and Yoo hyeon seok live together in "Hospital Playlist" I was confused thinking " where's his brother I thought they live together" but now I realize it was this series where he had a brother and live with him😅
Damn this is one of those comedy and sift dramas which have a rough outlook omg I was so serious when I started watching this for the first time but I couldn't help but laugh so hard throughout the whole drama lol. This needs much more attention I swear this drama deserve much more views
It would have been better if they would all have met when they came out of the jail.. and I miss all of them and park ho son I don't remember the name is am right but the one who is always fighting before captain Na came they shouldn't have transferred him I felt bad for him
when mincheol said that when he was young, he looked like park bo geum. And then jae hyuk gave correction of pronouncation " Park Bo Gum(Gom), not park bo geum". That scene is representation of all non korean who missed pronoun about Bo Gum, also me. haha lol.
This kdrama gave me mix emotions in just one episode😭💜😂 I’m picky when it comes to dramas and trust me (for people who want to watch it) this is the BEST of the BEST! I highly recommend this. Get ready for laughter moments, madness and don’t forget TISSUE. Trust me you need it!💜 Planning to watch it again! Cuz every hour of ep is VERY worth it and I learned some lessons here too. Edit: I’ve watched it again, 2nd time, and I still love it. I still have the same emotions. Perhaps I understand everything well now

If you watch racket boys, there's some sort of continuity in Dr. Koh's character. Plus most of the cast did cameos.

I loved the concept that half of the characters are bailed out and happy and half of them are still struggling. That is prison life for you.
I loved the dialogue when kang said"everyone said they will come back and noone ever came" and he felt the emotion when van came to see him. He got his hopes from there.
i watched prison playbook back in 2020 when i was really stressed out because of the pandemic . i didn't put a lot of thought into it, saw it on netflix one day and decided to watch because it has the same director with reply series. i wasn't expecting anything but it easily became one of my favorites. 2 years later, i'm now rewatching it.

i just finished watching this drama in the year 2020 and i regret not watching it earlier... it's my fave kdrama now along with reply 1988 and hospital playlist... shin pdnim is the best.. i like his works so much 😭 idk but im into reality dramas these days and i feel some satisfaction when im watching these dramas.

I was wondering why it feels so much like Reply 1988 but it's a different story. Only to find out this is directed & written by the same duo. I laughed and cried for them and with them. I really wish there was a second season focusing on Jung Woo's retrial, Han Yang's redemption, & Dong Ho's transformation as his own person.

This is definitely one of the best kdramas ever ... yeah true it was kinda boring in the first episodes, also the episodes are too long but it still interesting . I haven't watched many dramas this year but I may say it is the best drama of 2018 (or maybe one of the best dramas of 2018) . it was simple but warm, touching and funny . I enjoyed watching it ! *Must watch this Drama*
To be honest.. Captain ChanMyung of Hotel del Luna brought me here.. I was curious about some series of him. He was played here the young male lead (officer) and I wasn’t expected that the young baseball player here is the one who played also in Hotel del Luna which I like also. I really didn’t expect that this series makes me laugh and cry so badly. I really love the story and all the prisoners characters esp alooney.. kaist.. Captain Yoo and the jailbird.
Recently I watched Hospital playlist season 2 and when I saw Jung Kyung Ho and Yoo hyeon seok live together in "Hospital Playlist" I was confused thinking
" where's his brother I thought they live together" but now I realize it was this series where he had a brother and live with him😅
Damn this is one of those comedy and sift dramas which have a rough outlook omg I was so serious when I started watching this for the first time but I couldn't help but laugh so hard throughout the whole drama lol. This needs much more attention I swear this drama deserve much more views

when mincheol said that when he was young, he looked like park bo geum. And then jae hyuk gave correction of pronouncation " Park Bo Gum(Gom), not park bo geum". That scene is representation of all non korean who missed pronoun about Bo Gum, also me. haha lol.

This kdrama gave me mix emotions in just one episode😭💜😂 I’m picky when it comes to dramas and trust me (for people who want to watch it) this is the BEST of the BEST! I highly recommend this. Get ready for laughter moments, madness and don’t forget TISSUE. Trust me you need it!💜 Planning to watch it again! Cuz every hour of ep is VERY worth it and I learned some lessons here too.
Edit: I’ve watched it again, 2nd time, and I still love it. I still have the same emotions. Perhaps I understand everything well now
