I always related to those lyrics too. When this album came out, I was dealing with a lot of issues and fighting with my GF, which I would definitely be the passive one in the relationship. At least 13 yrs later we are still together and this whole album is still amazing.
Exactly how I felt when I first discovered. I always heard Young Blood used but never knew who sang it and then when I finally heard it again in the pilot episode of The Secret Circle I looked up their music after that and from then they became one of my favorite bands to listen too. I love the video to Girls Like You. Love how all the lights match up to the beat. I think that's just brilliance. How can you not feel it when your seeing that.
I heard Young Blood driving home from work on the radio. Girls Like You is a superb song. I think it is their 2nd best song. Higher is my favorite track.

The photography and editing is spectacular. After I like this, that was my next thought.It's brilliant. So simple and effective. It should be shabby, but it's shiny. Using recognisable objects to create like gifs and putting those images in an interesting sequence is really clever. I've seen other bands trying to do something similar but the director of this video has created an extremely vibrant and images that relate to the sound of the song. Wonderful.
I just got back from The Naked and Famous's show in Seattle and when they opened with this song I literally started screaming my head off singing every word of this song.
